Great for beach walks

I do daily long walks on my local beach. Mix of soft and hard sand and these are great. Plenty of room in the toe box. I bought two pair and alternate. My first Altras so I can’t compare to how they used to be and have only been using them for a month so I don’t know how long they will last but so far so good! I have not done any trails or slippery surfaces yet.

Inconsistent manufacturing

These were comfortable right out of the box, but unfortunately after 2-3 hikes the insole on the left shoe seems to be either too narrow for the sole size or improperly attached to the sole. The edge of the insole rubs along the inside of my foot to a point where it is unwearable/unbearable. It appears to be cut differently than the right shoe. This is disappointing because the right shoe is very comfortable and I really want to like these shoes. And of course now they are too worn to return.

Best hiking shoes ever!

I purchased these shoes specifically for a hiking trip to Sedona,AZ and the Grand Canyon. I have some neuropathy in my feet secondary to chemotherapy. I already had other brands of hiking shoes. They hurt my feet. A.friend recommended these. Love them! My feet never hurt. Great for climbing rocks and not slipping. Cleaned up well from the res dirt.

Making up with running

After a long break from running, I am giving it another go. I like that these shoes are wide and so far (a few 3 mile runs), I don't experience any tightness in my feet.
