Disappointed
The Lone Peak in size 15 has been my go-to trail shoe for trail running and backpacking for years. Unfortunately the 7 seems to run small and I worry the 16 will be too much of a size jump.

Great all around trail running shoe
These have been my primary running and sometimes hiking shoe with 170mi so far. The ride is firm, but not harsh. I love the big toe box, though I find i have to be especially locked down on incline.

Comfortable and durable for extreme hiking
I finished my through hike of the PCT this year using a variety of Altra shoes. I used Lone Peaks for the final 500 mile stretch. Its been a few months since of everyday use and I they're still great!

Great for high instep and wide toe box
This is the third pair of Altra Lone Peaks I've bought for my son w an extremely high instep. This is our go-to shoe for him now.

Conformable but not durable
4mo in and they ripped on the outside near my toes flex point. In the NW trails are wet and these soak up water. Tread is aggressive but slips on smooth surfaces. Fits great, needs better durability.

Outstanding shoes
I like them so much I bought 2 pairs. Bought the first pair as training shoes and never wanted to take them off. So bought a second pair for everyday wear.

This is my third pair of Lone Peak trail shoes
I walk/jog at least five miles a day, and Altra Lone Peaks are easily the most comfortable shoe I've found for both day to day use and trail walking and running. I own several pairs of Altras and expect that this will be my go-to brand for hiking, walking and running.

So comfortable but not highest quality
Although I don't do any trail running, my intention was to find a durable shoe for my work. Surprisingly, these shoes happen to be the most comfortable I've ever worn, crucial for enduring long hours on my feet in retail. Despite wearing them daily for a month, I'm disappointed to observe an issue with their quality - the fabric connecting the toe box to the upper part is already separating. I rarely wear them outdoors and certainly not for any strenuous activities, making this premature wear confusing and frustrating. The prospect of using them for my upcoming season as a park ranger now raises concerns about their longevity, even though their comfort is literally unparalleled.

Altra is going backwards in quality vs price
Well only 3 day into these lone peak 7's , I sure can tell a quality difference from the lone peak 6 and I have only ran about a mile in them I sure hope that the 8s are more like the 6s or I'll have to think on other brands then, nothing good ever lasts Isuppose!!! If it wasn't for superfeet insoles I probably would have returned them!!! Why altra?

Got massive holes after ~150 miles, poor customer service
Put about 150 miles on these when both shoes developed holes. Reached out to customer service to get them replaced based on their warranty against manufacturing defects, which Altra didn't honor. They said the holes were not covered under the warranty... there's literally a massive tear right along the seam on one of the shoes. Clearly a manufacturing defect. Pretty bummed out by this and won't be buying from Altra again.
