wrong color & checker board is offcenter

it works fine as a drink table but the checkboard is off center and doesnt stay very firm leaving allowing any board game you play on it to slide around

Lightweight, missing pieces

I bought this table with visions of playing checkers with my kids while car camping. It is too heavy to lug around hiking, but manageable to transport in a car. The table has a side pocket for checkers and to my surprise it COMES WITH CHECKERS! Why this isn't mentioned anywhere is beyond me. Unfortunately, our table was missing a checker. I hoped backcountry would be able to send me the missing one. Nope, I'd have to return the whole thing, which seemed excessive/annoying. There are two other things worth pointing out. 1. It isn't very stable, the slightest movement causes the table to rock, which moves the pieces. 2. The feet are VERY light weight. After its first use the rubber grips at the bottom looked very well worn. I have 10 year old camping chairs with feet in better condition than this the ones on the bottom of this table. I contacted Alps and they sent me an entirely new table. Great company, but the table needs some work.

Great for family camping

One picnic table is never enough room when car camping with the family, so I picked this up and the whole family loves it. My four-year-old LOVES playing checkers with us now every time we camp. He doesn't understand the rules so he makes up his own and laughs himself silly every time he beats us. It collapses down in two dimensions so it fits way easier in the car. The fabric tabletop is sturdy enough for plates but not for cups, but the four cup holders on the lower level make up for this shortcoming. The only lasting issue is my daughter spilled citronella candle wax on it, and wax is impossible to get out of fabric so that stain will be there forever. I don't personally mind it -- camping gear is supposed to get dirty -- but it's worth mentioning, I don't understand how it's so cheap here. Frankly you should buy it.
