Paragon Plus Knee Protector
We've all had those mental blocks after a crash. Trying to get yourself to get up and over it, and charge hard again can be a challenge, but we find tossing on a bit of body armor helps. That doesn't mean you've got to be weighed down by beefy hard shells, but slipping on Alpinestars Paragon Plus Knee Protectors may just be the trick. These lightweight pads are breathable and ergonomically designed, so you can still hammer your way up climbs, but feature CE certified perforated pads that offer you a boost in confidence — and impact absorption, so you can charge hard again, and skip the second-guessing. The pads are constructed with a blend of stretch mesh and Ripstop nylon, allowing them to flex around your muscles comfortably, but hold up to abrasion in the event of a crash. The pads themselves are pre-shaped, so they are optimized for a variety of riding positions.

In a word: Terrible
- I've used it several times
These pads have been absolutely useless for me. They slide down while riding so easily that it is pointless to wear them. Every time I've taken a spill they weren't in place to protect my knees. I doubt its a sizing issue either. I wouldn't be able to fit into a smaller pair.

- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
These pads are quite good. Lots of protection for lightweight pads. They do have a CE certified protection rating so you know that they can take a punch. At first when I put them on, I was a little worried about the comfort because the pad itself is so stiff and stout but after riding those concerns went away. The pads were not on my mind the entire ride. The pads are quite flexible while pedaling. The rest of the pad is made with a lightweight breathable mesh. They stay put very well and haven't slipped on me. The longer length is very good, so it covers up your ugly thighs. Sizing seems spot on. My only improvements would be to have a silicone strip on the bottom to help with retention as well. Also, it seems like the pad is super stout but the mesh is on the lighter side. Seems like the material could be more stout to match the pad, but the material may hold up well to long term abuse. We will see.

Always wear pads
- True to size
Great pads they are comfortable enough to wear all the time the side protection could be better but still have enough for the type of riding I do. I've had multiply crashes where I've landed right on my knee and been just fine. i'd recommend these pads for anyone who wants a light weight pad that's easy to pedal in and offer enough protection for any ride.
