Crashing isn't nearly as bad as it used to be.

As you eye up the cliff drop just yards below you, contemplating whether or not you should send it, remember that you're wearing the Airblaster Men's Yeti Beast Suit and let that fact make the decision for you. Because even if you bomb it out and tomahawk twenty feet, the full-suit design and Vortex fabric paired with Nanotex Aquapel treatment provides 30K waterproofing to ensure that you stay bone-dry while hucking  end over end. Then, its insanely breathable design and zippered leg and underarm vents also allow sweaty moisture to escape as you frantically hike around, searching for your goggles that did, unfortunately, get launched off your head from the crash. Adjustable leg gaiters with hooks do their part to block out snow from sneaking in (on especially deep days), while the 350-waist zipper (otherwise known as the point of bathroom-access) has your back when you realize that eating that gas-station breakfast burrito was a very, very bad idea. Plus, Airblaster equipped this bad boy with a bevy of zippered pockets to ensure all of your on-hill goodies, and then some, come safely along for the ride.

  • Winter-proof, snow suit that keeps you protected on deep days
  • Waterproof, breathable construction defends you from precipitation
  • Zippered vents provide a quick cool-down when you heat up
  • Adjustable cuffs and hood customize your protection
  • Ankle gaiters cinch out cold, wet snow
  • Tailored fit keeps your style and layering game on point

I LOOOOOOOOVE this suit! I am 6ft 200lbs and bought a size Large in the Storm Blue color scheme. The fit is pretty perfect. Not too baggy, trim to look comfortable & sleek but still plenty of room for the movements you will be making on the mountain. The perfect combo. Plus it doesn't sound or feel like a plastic bag which some of the new gore-tex pro fabrics can be like. I had 2 compliments the first two runs I took the first day I wore it!

I wore this beast during a whiteout snowstorm in the Sierra Mountains in March of 2019. There was about 1 foot of snow that day. The suit was flawless. It has a medium amount of insulation which was perfect for outside at the top with the wind howling. More surprisingly was how it was almost "breathable" inside for a beer after the slopes. I wore a medium weight base layer on both top and bottom and was snug as a bug in 19-28 degrees Fahrenheit snow/wind weather. With that said I feel like you can easily wear this in temps about 10-20 degrees Fahrenheit higher because of the breathability factor. Maybe it's just me, but this suit is really versatile.

The material is soft flexible and really comfortable. I was skeptical that the softness of the suit would sacrifice protection. But after sitting in 40mph gusts of sleeting snow/ice and coming out bone dry, I would say it works just fine.

At one point we got stuck on the chair lift in a very open/exposed part of it. The wind was whipping snow right into our faces. I used the cinch on the hood to hunker down and turn into a ball. Nothing was getting inside of this thing! It handled the wind/snow combination perfectly. I also plan to wear this even on none storm days since it's so comfortable.

A very important point to note is that when you have to use the restroom, you won't have to take it off or remove it from your shoulders! You can simply unzip and the front opens. You will still be wearing the suit normally over your shoulders. This was a nice surprise. It's actually way faster than wearing a regular coat too because you only have 1 zipper as opposed to 2 (1 pant, 1 jacket)

Unfortunately, the elastic hood cinch snapped a string on me but I am not sure exactly how. Maybe I tried to tighten it too much? A sad moment, but the hood still held up decently for the rest of the day. I contacted one of the gearheads (Aaron) here at Backcountry and he was awesome to help me out to get it fixed.

3 words.

No more snow down your pants!

I got this thing after a lift time of snow going down my back. I use powder skirts but those are uncomfortable and when it gets really deep or you crash it doesnt matter. I have worn Ninja suits forever and figured why not top it off with a Beast suit. Best idea I have ever had. The thing wicks away spilled soda and pairs nicely with a ninja suit. 10/10 would recommend.

This suit rules! super warm and waterproof! no snow will be getting down your back on powder days. I got yellow so my friends won't lose me on hill.

Pow-day essential.

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

This suit is great for Utah snow. It keeps snow out of your nooks and crannies. It is really breathable, and definitely kept me dry. The fit was true to size, not too baggy and not too tailored. The "gold" color is more of a mustard color in person.
