Worry about dipping your tip no more.

Even though you're 99% sure that you're going to ragdoll when you send that cliff you've been eyeing, you won't mind—because you're wearing the Airblaster Men's Freedom Suit. This one-piece takes pow day enjoyment to the next level by sealing out snow so you can slash, tumble, and hot tub into the deepest powder without getting wet and cold.

The 15K-rated fabric with fully taped seams keeps you dry when the snow is coming down, and adjustable boot gaiters and Lycra hand gaiters prevent snow from coming in through the openings. The tailored one-piece fit keeps your swag levels up, and a 350-degree zipper at the waist makes it easy to take care of business in the lodge bathroom without getting completely undressed. Mesh-lined inseam and underarm vents help you cool off after an especially intense run or while you're hiking in search of secret stashes. Rip Stopper reinforced hems increase durability, and the media pocket has a headphone port so you can keep the pow ballads cranked while you surf through the deep stuff.

    Yay suit, boo Backcountry

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 185lbs

I feel like a jackass leaving this review. Let me just get that out of the way first.

The suit, structurally, is awesome. Seriously, I'll never go back to the not-having-a-Freedom-Suit ways of the past. It's warm, it fits like a glove, it's got all the pockets you need (including two interior), all the vents you need, and the best quality gaiters and hooks I've ever seen. This is an *incredibly* well-made suit and I will absolutely buy another if this one ever needs replacing.

Backcountry, however, has failed me. And so has Airblaster, at least a little bit. The suit you see here is advertised as being black. It isn't. It's dark blue. The accent color on this suit is advertised as being gray. It isn't, it's neon green.

All of my soft gear is black. I did not want blue, I did not order blue, and neither Airblaster nor Backcountry advertises blue... yet here we are. I have contacted Backcountry about it repeatedly and have been told they'll look into it and see what happened... and never hear back. The more recent times I've tried to contact them, they just disconnect the chat or stop responding to email. Okay, cool.

So I contacted Airblaster. Their stance is it's not their problem because I bought it from Backcountry. And they're right, it's not. But where else can I go? The people I bought it from refuse to do anything about it no matter how much of a pain in their ass I make myself. Airblaster said they'd contact Backcountry on my behalf and get the ball rolling in the right direction... that was a month ago (I've been back and forth with Backcountry about this since FEBRUARY).

So I have this really warm and comfortable suit that I spent $350 on that I don't want to wear because it's the wrong color. And you can laugh at that if you want, I know it's silly, but the bottom line is I didn't get what was advertised and nobody in a position to do so is willing to make it right. So I can't recommend you buy this suit from Backcountry simply because there's no guarantee you'll get what you paid for and, from what I've experienced, no guarantee Backcountry will try to make it right if you don't.

    Calling all POWDER NINJAS.......

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XXL
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 230lbs

First off impressed by the craftsman ship,

True to size , order XXL it fits great I'm 6'2 @ 230 lbs.

Zippers are good and strong .
Double zipper in front for when you get warm.
Zippers are easy to use with gloves on.

Seen other one pieces out there for way more $$$.
This isn't a budget braker worth every penny.

The only difference between this and the more expensive is Suspenders.
The others brands offer them, than again at 599.99 and up ! I'm good.
Airblaster makes great products In my opinion.
There ninja suits are awesome as a base layer.
Pairing the Freedom suit with the ninja suit that's all you're going to need. Than adding my Ruroc helmets
Literally riding the storm out..... ( ruroc.com)

Wet snow , no swamp ass here.....( smiley face)
Champagne snow and deep powder very good.
This should be in every powder hound arsenal.

I buy this again in a heartbeat.

Keeps the snow out of your pants!

Fit is true to sizing. Keeps the snow on the mtn and out of your pants. Heat and "everything" are trapped in the body bag. Good for cold, dry powder days. 15k waterproofing isn't going to do too much against wetter snow. Wouldn't suggest this for sierra cement. Champagne powder? Oh hell yes!
