This is a small lightweight roll of duct tape.
Keeping "Prepared" Light
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Great lightweight add-on to my backpacking emergency essentials. We all know the power of a little duct tape when you've got to do a quick fix. Now you won't have to leave it behind because of bulk or weight.
handymans secret weapon
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I bought several of these for various bags, packs and kits. Could make a sling, tape boot to binding, anything!
Duct tape fixes everything
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This saved my cousin's backpacking trip up in the Wind River range over the weekend. His REI tent came out of the stuff sack with a huge hole in the mesh and this taped it right up to keep his shelter bug free.
Seriously, duct tape is always a good idea to have on adventures. BUY THIS!
Essential
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
It's duct tape, need I say more. It's not as good as the name brand stuff you get from the store but it's lightweight and gets the job done.
Just bought more
I have used both rolls over the winter. (Ski pole repairs) Just picked up another 4 rolls for my climbing and backpacking gear. There are a thousand uses for this stuff.
WORST
This is the worst duct tape I have ever seen for sticking to skin. As soon as you put it on and pull your socks up it starts sliding around. The adhesion peels away from the tape. It is literally the worst. I have they either change the composition to real duct tape or just get rid of this product. Huge bummer that really helped ruin a great trip I took. In all fairness...maybe I just purchased a bad batch but that's enough to NEVER buy this stuff again.
Don't hit a trail without it.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Really think about how many thing you can fix with just a little bit of duct tape. Now think about how dumb you are going to feel when you don't have some in your pack or on your ski pole. I keep it in my pack, on my ski pole, in my car... seriously great small little piece of never leave home without it gear.
A million uses
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Who wouldn't carry some duct tape in their pack?! Especially something like this that weighs so little. Perfect for blister care, repairs, and bringing out your inner MacGyver. Is that a million uses? Oh well, close enough. Buy this. You won't regret it.
Less is more
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This is quite possibly the best invention ever, I mean, who doesn't love duct tape? It has so many uses I couldn't name them all and when its in a handy little roll there's even more to love. From a quick mend on a ripped tent, a great blister stopping alternative to moleskin, there no limit to the practical (and impractical) reasons why you should carry this.
Small and practical
Perfect size for backpacking. Duct tape can fix many things so it's a no-brainer at less than an ounce.
Ignore the Tech specs, not 50ft but 50in.
What's not to like?
I keep these in my kit and they take up almost no space. Duct tape can fix a lot, I consider this a crucial item in my go bag.
Misleading
The description talks about what you can do with "50 feet" of duct tape in your pack. While true, the rolls they are selling contain 50 INCHES each, NOT 50 feet. Both rolls (2 per package) combined would yield 100 inches, or 8.33 feet.
It clearly says in the description. 50in. If you don't know what that means then you are not American.
It says 50ft - not 50in
That's on Backcountry, not Adventure Medical.
But...why are you sticking duct tape to your skin? I'm sure there are better ways to achieve what you are attempting to do...
