- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
If you want a convenient, lightweight medical kit, the Ultralight & Watertight Pro is not the kit for you. If you want a complete, all-inclusive medical kit, it's still not the kit for you.
I bought this kit with some extra tax-advantaged medical funds hoping I'd have a "grab and go" kit good enough for a backpacking trip. While the case and bags are nifty, the supply list is very misleading and the kit is disorganized. Honestly, I thought this kit had been opened and messed with. Then again, it was zip-tied shut when I received it from Backcountry.
Adventure Medical Kits claims this kits has an Ultralight & Watertight .9 kit inside ready to take out for lighter trips. It doesn't. All of the supplies are thrown together in the bags without any real rhyme or reason, and this kit doesn't even have all of the supplies inside to make your own .9 kit if you wanted to rearrange stuff. Judging by the contents on their website, my kit was missing a safety pin, knuckle bandages, gauze, et al.
+2 stars for at least including a couple bandages.
