it works

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

but barely, deet will drive mosquitoes away, this stuff just kinda causes them to fly around really close to you waiting for it to wear off in an hour. i tried, but i'll stick with deet.

bug free

I've put it through the wringer

I am made of sweet meat so bugs love to bite me. This spray works well and isn't stinky or too sticky. I reapply liberally so I can't vouch for how long it lasts but I have been through many bottles and this is the only bug spray I will buy. The bottle is nice and small so it can fit in any pocket or bag. Do not leave home without it.

Natural and Effective

For being a Deet free natural bug repellent this stuff actually works really well. Natrapel is safe on skin, clothes, and everything in between. Pretty sure it doesn't last 8 hrs in real world conditions but a good bug spray nonetheless. Matthew Pizza Expert Gearhead 801.736.5363

keeps the buggies off me

I've used it several times

this stuff works great, and it does not leave that nasty oily film on you. so you don't shine after spraying yourself. so if you want some good bug spray, pick this up!

No Deet

Works great, and an awesome product that does not use deet. Highly recommend this product as both my wife and I used this in utah and for a week in mexico. ( I haven't gotten zika yet if that's what you're wondering)

Kept Zika at bay

I've put it through the wringer

We were traveling to Puerto Rico and wanted to make sure we didn't get bit. This was great 'cause it was small enough to carry on a plane, but was still enough to last two of us a full week. It seemed to work as good, if not better, than the DEET spray our travel companions used. We came back with less mosquito bites (none!) than them, despite being in and out of the water and kayaking near some fairly swampy areas.

Hands down the best

I've put it through the wringer

I find myself in some mosquito infested areas this time of year. Camping, climbing, backpacking, fly fishing - every activity i run into those little buggers. I got this on recommendation and it did not disappoint. In fact - it is the best bug spray I have used in my entire life! The only downfall is that it is such a small bottle - so you might want to stock up!

Ka-powed the mosquitoes in India

I've put it through the wringer

Since this repellant was part of my daily regimen in India, I got to know it and its smell quite well. The mosquitoes stayed away, and I was glad not to have to worry about DEET. I got the larger 3.5 ounce bottle, and plowed through it pretty quickly in less than a month. I would recommend buying a couple of larger bottles for longer trips in mosquito-heavy country.

No deet!

I was excited to get to use this while traveling in India, but I've only had to use it once or twice. The times I used it, I was glad I did. It seemed to work great, and a big plus is that it has no deet! It didn't have a gross sticky feeling when applied, and I didn't get any bites. Win win!

Holding up great

I am usually the mosquito-munching buffet, and I hate it! On the other hand, I also hate using high concentrations of nasty chemicals on my skin to keep them off. This is the perfect compromise. We have been hanging out around water at dusk, and I got no bites with this spray. It is a little bit sticky right after you apply it, but the slight stickiness goes away pretty soon thereafter. Hands down would recommend this!

I used 30% DEET for week 1, and then compared this Natrapel for week 2 down in Nicaragua. The results were very similar, I got about 2 mosquito bites using this repellent, when I'm normally a mosquito bite FACTORY. Hands down would rather use this repellent than DEET -- NO BRAINER!

AMK Marketing rep Katie Singleton takes you through the Natrapel 8-hour range of insect repellents. Natrapel 8-hour is a DEET-free formula that provides up to 8 hours of protection from bugs and is safe to use around outdoor and fishing gear.

works for runners

I run by a swamp and in the summer there are a lot of biteing flies. I sparyed the repellant on and it seemed to work fine

works great

as for bug repellent, its no 99.9% deet, but its a damn good substitute. two nights, 40 miles on the AT, and this stuff worked like a charm. it also wont melt your jacket or feel like warm cancer soaking deep into your skin, as deet does.

Get off the DEET train...

This is my bug spray of choice. I'm just not a fan of DEET, because as effective as it can be, I don't like all the warning labels, melted plastics, eroded synthetic clothing, and skin-burning sensations that can accompany it. I used this in the Eastern Sierra last year, which was a banner year for mosquitoes (think thick black clouds), and had great results. I also like the small size of the spray bottle, it doesn't take up much room or weigh a lot in my pack. If you are giving any thought to getting off of the DEET train, give this stuff a shot.
