The sky is spitting, not quite enough to break the heat, but we still need to get in our tempo run, so we lace up the Terrex Speed Ultra Trail Running Shoe for reliable control as we bound over wet, technical singletrack. The drainage-ready uppers keep puddles from forming inside, while the gravel bike–inspired lug pattern gives us the traction we need during our higher speed bursts.

Light and comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very comfortable, breathable and light. Were slightly tight at the start (I do have wide feet) but after couple of wears were perfect. Love the colours.

Great show for running and hiking
This is not the most comfortable show but you give that up for how lite it is! Great for running and hiking. I have done many miles in these shoes doing both.

Beautiful shoe. Very tight. And maybe too fancy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful shoe. Was really looking forward to run with those but they are very very snug and quite stiff. Not sure I would want to run trails with those. They are almost too fancy to run on rocks and roots. I returned.

Am sorry to see these go out of stock.
Best trail runners ever, I use a thin aftermarket insole with some additional footbed support- but just a few grams heavier than the stock footbeds. No pain, no blowouts, moderate wear (not an issue as I rotate out pairs over 500 mi). I use them every day for 5-6 mile road/trail- run/walks. After 500mi, they still battle on as casual wear. Very light and flexible. Hate the big built up inner soles of the alternative models and brands.

Great for fast or long trail days
Have run approximately 100 miles on these and they’re holding up really well. Fit comfortably and are a great alternative to some of the overly plush shoes on the market if you’re looking for more ground feel.

The Boston 9 trail.
A less aggressive more comfortable cousin to the now retired speed pro. These look to be on the way out which is a shame, they remind me of the boston 9, but trail ready.
