Terrex Swift R2 Mid GTX Hiking Shoe

Adidas simply cannot manage to make a shoe that moves slow. Decades of building running footwear instilled a fast-paced philosophy that bled into the Men's Terrex Swift R2 Mid GTX Hiking Shoe. It keeps the supportive stability that hikers want out of mid boots, except it retains a light, flexible feel for moving quickly on the trail. Despite its lightness, the Terrex Swift R2 still features a Gore-Tex Extended Comfort membrane for waterproof, breathable protection, and its Continental rubber sole offers the same off-road traction that Continental's tires have.

  • Mid-length hiking boot built to move swiftly
  • Ripstop mesh upper with waterproof, breathable Gore-Tex
  • TPU toe and overlays add support and durability
  • Continental rubber sole enhances off-road traction

I bought these for my boyfriend (6'3", M) who needed a pair of boots after his runners were getting worn out and he says he really likes these so far. He's only worn them out on day hikes but they are comfortable and do well on someone with narrow feet. They are true to size for Adidas, so if you're a 12 in Adidas trainers, then you should be a 12 in these too! I recommend checking out this REI video on sizing online for help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ppxu_zmrno.

Wrong boot sent, horrible customer serv

Ordered a 10.5 addidas hiking boot 3 weeks before Xmas for 147$, get sent a random pair of Columbia boots . Call and explain and I’m told sorry the boots you were supposed to get are sold out now. Tough luck. Please return the wrong boots in order to get your money back. Total joke.

Perfect Shoe In a Jiffy!

I bought these for my boyfriend for a backpacking trip out in Colorado and here’s what he had to say: “Wow! I had high hopes for these shoes to begin with but they surpassed my expectations by a long shot. They were very comfortable to wear for extended hikes. They breathed easily so my feet weren’t irritated. They are sturdy and support the ankle amazingly. No terrain stands a chance against these bad boys!” A noteable detail is that because of short notice, there was no time for him to break them in and they gave him no trouble at all once he gave them use. He notes that they’re like clouds giving your feet a hug, so if that doesn’t sell these for you then I don’t know what will!

These shoes are awesome. I purchased them to work in. I am on my feet all day, in and out of houses. These have great grip, are really durable, and keep my feet dry but not sweaty. The sizing is true.

First off I'm surprised by how light these shoes are being that they are mid top shoes. The waterproofing on these is phenomenal, I've been caught in the rain multiple times while wearing these and my feet stayed as dry as can be. The soles are excellent when it comes to traversing over rough terrain. If these dit for you I'd totally recommend them.

I build homes in park city and I have gone through hell trying to find the perfect shoe doing my trade, and boy howdie are these ever them. I usually have problems getting blisters near my Achilles tendon, not even a remote problem with the terex. I put them through deep snow, freezing temps and indoor use as well and I am always comfortable. I am not one to review ever but i felt I had to somewhere. Go adidas!

Had these shoes for 2 years now and bought a second pair because I wanted the gortex version. The water proofIng has held up very well (hiking through deep snow). I’ve used these as approach shoes and they handle class 4 scrambling extremely well. The sole isn’t as stiff as many approach shoes, but I prefer it that way. The rubber has exceptional grip. One of the best things about them is how comfortable they are. I wear them around town often. 10/10 would recommend.

These are great boots but durability could be an issue. Took them up Mt. Baldy(San Antonio) right out of the box and put hundreds of miles on them over the course of the next few months blister free. They are fast, light, waterproof and have excellent traction. Wore them up and down Mt. Whitney in a nasty storm and have danced in the snow in Mammoth with them. They are not warm in snow but they will keep your feet dry. A few hundred miles later there is some wear, noteably a few seams have cracked on the toes and the stiching on the cuffs shreds. I will be buying another pair next season.

been wearing theses pretty heavily since i got them. Hiked really well in them. did abit of construction, demolition, and pretty avidly in retail. I thought that these wouldnt last- that the seems would burst but i have been very impressed at the quality. i expected a good pair of shoes that i intended to use lightly but these are awesome. They are a slight bit narrow but otherwise, right there. Still waterproof.

I have a wider foot, do you recommend getting one half size up or is this shoe too narrow for someone with wide feet?

This is just a normal width shoe, I would probably recommend looking into different shoes, wide specific.
