Mtn Adventuring Electrolyte Replacement
I use Acli-Mate mountain sport drink before going up to ski, bike, hike, whatever. I give it to our kids as well. Tastes great. Low in sugar. Natural ingredients. Works great against headaches, fatigue, nausea and other altitude related symptoms. Use bot the Endurance and Mountain formulations.

Daily Electrolyte Replenishment
I use Acli-mate as a daily multi-vitamin to replenish any lost electrolytes after running/training. I also use it before a high altitude mountain race. I have found both uses to be beneficial to the way my body recovers (post-activity use) and adapts to changing elevations (in race mode). Grape is my favorite flavor. It goes down easy, but does leave a lingering aftertaste. I typically mix one packet with 32oz of water to dilute the flavor a bit.

Excellent Product, Great for Altitude
I drink Acli-mate on a regular basis to improve my hydration, and to help recover from long skis or bike rides. I prefer the taste far more than Emergenc, and like the variety of flavors. I also recommend this product to people coming into town who are having trouble acclimatizing.

good effect, but chalky taste
Helps my body absorb water and stay hydrated. However, it has a similar chalky after taste like Emergen-C.

Daily use of Aclimate
A testimony by Brian Smith, accomplished year-round elite multisport athlete. During the summer months, I am a member of team Griggs Orthopedics Ride, a cycling team based in the Gunnison Valley of Colorado. I use Acli-mate products for training and racing given our high altitude environment. The Endurance and Mountain Sports drinks provide essential vitamins, minerals and electrolytes that help me to train and race in the Colorado Mountains. I regularly ride and train near 10,000 feet. On days I feel tired and fatigued from the previous session I rely on the Mountain mix for its amazing ability to help the body acclimatize. I like to drink a bottle the night before and I find I can maintain my efforts and push further than I could with other drink supplements. Most days I usually supplement with the Endurance drink and feel great during and after workouts. During the winter months I compete on the Griggs Orthopedics ?Crested Butte ski mountaineering team. We regularly train above 10,000 feet. The benefits of Acli-mate are extremely beneficial when ski-mountaineer racing especially during our endurance events of 6-10 hours. Some races like the Grand Traverse include racing at midnight in which we combat sleep deprivation as well as altitude/cold. I can conclude that without proper hydration and supplementation I never would have won a single GT let alone 4 at this point.

I live and train in Crested Butte at 9,000 feet. I take a serving of Aclimate almost every day as a mineral supplement and energy aid. I give this to all of my low-land friends when they come to visit and it helps them combat headaches and fatigue that come with altitude. Whether you are playing at high elevation or not, this is a great nutritional supplement and it tastes great too! It also helps with hangovers...just double the serving size :-)

When we first moved to a high-altitude town in Colorado, we experienced all sorts of the symptoms associated with high altitude sickness - it's no joke! My boyfriend's mom spent a day in bed when she helped us move here and she never gets sick. It?s pretty uncomfortable and is especially bad for people visiting briefly because it can impact your whole trip. After moving, I had to leave town and go to lower altitude places a few times, and the only time I didn?t experience these symptoms upon returning was after I discovered Acclimate. I also sent some to my parents before they visited and they never felt the altitude. I?m a believer! It?s an easy way to make sure your trip isn?t ruined by altitude sickness!

Acclimatization, Energy, Performance...
This product is great for Mountain visitors and athletes. I have found that drinking Acli-Mate prior to gaining elevation drastically reduces the symptoms of altitude sickness. Electrolytes for hydration, b-vitamins for energy, and select herbs like Schizandra Berry, Rhodiola, CoQ10, and Ginko for recovery and acclimatization. The flavors are great and mixes easily with water. A fine product formulated in the high country of Colorado.

I am looking for a decent altitude hydration formulation for a climbing trip to Nepal soon. Qs: 1) What specifically makes this mix superior to others for altitude issues (All I can find is a possible slight vasodilation effect) and where is the science to back it up? and; 2) Are there any reviews that are not associated with the company? (Brian appears to be sponsored by the company and others live near the person who makes it. This does NOT discount their experience with the product, but it certainly render me more skeptical.)

Chris, while on Denali everyone just drank Gatorade, or some Electrolyte sugar DRANK. I am no Doctor by any means but, something like this would not make a huge difference in my performance unless of course I am at the top of my game such as Brian who wins the GT. I have a hunch though, that he would win it using any electrolyte drink. Not saying don't buy it and give it a shot, just don't expect to feel anything more than you would if you trained hard, acclimated correctly and stayed hydrated regularly. No matter how much Nuun I drank, I still aged about 10 years for every 1,000' above 12K.
