Beware! This thing is PLASTIC!!!

I returned this product before using it

Beware, this lock is not like the other Abus Bordo locks in the line! This one is almost entirely PLASTIC. I was wondering why it was so cheap compared to the others, I found out why once I received it. The description of "5mm thick ferrous metal bars" is completely wrong for this lock - they are not ferrous metal or any metal for that matter...they are plastic. If you do a little more research you'll find a lot of other complaints and verification that this model has plastic bars, NOT ferrous metal bars. I returned the item and bought the Bordo 6000 which is actually made with ferrous metal bars. It weighs about 10x what this one weighs but is actually a REAL lock that you can trust locking your bike up with. I'm confused why anyone would ever want a plastic bike lock!? Stay away from this one!
