    Happy Traveler

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'8"
    • Weight: 150lbs

Bought these for an upcoming trip, I've yet to use them, but am pretty stoked after the initial try on. Based on a few of the reviews suggesting they ran a touch big/baggy, I went with a Medium, I'm 5'8" 150. Love the flat waist band and flattering pockets. The elastic a the cuff isn't too tight, and allows for individual styling. DIG the fabric, super soft, stretchy, breathable, yes substantial enough for hike. I went with the Forge Grey over another pair of Black pants, and LOVE them. Definitely a darker grey, graphite.

5'2 and XS is the Perfect Length!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XS
    • Height: 5'2"
    • Weight: 125lbs

I was hesitant on what size to order because i'm short and heard these ran pretty long when reading the reviews. I am 120-125 pounds and and XS is the perfect fit! Not tight but not baggy either. They ride up a little when I sit or lay down though but I prefer them that way!

5'2 and XS is the Perfect Length!

    Love Letter to these pants...

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: XS
    • Height: 5'7"
    • Weight: 120lbs

Not only are these pants comfortable and versatile.....they also have some type of miracle latte-repellent proprieties! I was walking my dog with a coffee in my hand when we came across a friendly looking Golden retriever that ended up being not friendly AT ALL. In the process of pulling my dog away, I spilled a lot of my latte on my pants. Guess what? It wiped right off. You couldn't even see a stain! Another reason to love these. :)

    Lives in them

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size
    • Height: 0'0"
    • Weight: 0lbs

Bought these for my sister for her birthday and swear she is in them half the time I see her. The fabric is sleek and very soft.
She says they are super comfortable and versatile performance wise - she climbs, hikes, and plays volleyball. They do not look out of place in casual settings either.

    Love these pants

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 155lbs

These are a fantastic pant. I can wear them in warm climates since they are lightweight and the legs pull up or with long johns as an outer layer for winter snowshoeing. I love items like this that span seasons and are great travel partners (go pockets)!

    Great but large

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs large

I'm 5'7" and 123 pounds and I picked up a size small in these. The fabric was so nice and I loved the thick waist band, but they were absolutely huge on me. They were falling down my waist and made my butt look like a balloon. I ended up returning them, but totally would have tried them in an extra small if they came in that size.

    Favorite pants

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'4"

I totally fell in love with these pants the moment I put them on. They're stretchy, breathable, water repellant... I mean, what's not to love??? I wear these pants everywhere; hiking, running, napping, etc... They definitely run large, and the next size down was perfect for me. I was also pleasantly surprised that the length on these pants fit me perfectly. Being only 5'4, most Patagonia stuff is too long in the legs for me. Overall, these are my go to pants for literally everything. Definitely recommend!

    Super Comfortable Pants

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I had to return the original pair, they run a little large. They are super comfortable. They are great to lounge around all day! Also these were purchased as a gift, size down!

I'm tall. Here's my perspective on these

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 6'1"

OK, so I know everyone says to size down. Sure, cool. I do not agree with that! I got these in my usual medium (I'm a 29 in most pants or a comfortable 10). I'm also 6'1'' with athletic butt, calves, and thighs (think cycling, walking A LOT). These are short on me, like crops, and do not have the drape of the model in the picture. They fit me more like slightly relaxed yoga pants. The cuffs do not pull up comfortably on my muscular calves. That said, they fit super comfy in the waist, and the stretchy fabric is very nice on the skin. They're cool and breezy feeling, and not thick and oppressive like yoga tights. The pockets are the jam, too. I would not say to size down, though. Buy your size, see how you like them. If you're TALL with a butt DO NOT SIZE DOWN. I could see how shorter women with tiny butts would want to size down, for sure. I'm going to try the large just to see how they compare length wise, as well as ankle cuff wise.

    Summer sweat pant!

Bummed its summer and you have to ditch your cozy warm joggers? Don't be, this is your new summer sweat that is lightweight breathable and really cute. I wore these on the plane to maui, camping in Moab, and everywhere else I go. They do run large so sizing down wouldn't be a bad idea. Great pant!

      ABSOLUTELY order a size down

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: Runs large

My friend has these pants and I read all the reviews on every website--EVERYONE says to order a size down. I was still skeptical because I thought there's no way my larger-end of medium thighs will fit into a small. Well, guess what?! They were right and apparently I have trust issues.

These pants are amazing. Cute tapered shape with just a little stretch and POCKETS! I agree, an olive green or navy would be a hit as well.

If you're on the fence, take it from me, buy these pants!

So bummed they were too big!

I have been waiting so long for these to get back on in stock! They finally got back in stock, but unfortunately they're too big! I am usually a small, borderline XS in some things and I pretty much knew the small was going to be too big, but had to try anyways. Ya, like everyone else says in the reviews, these run very large. So bummed they were out of stock in the XS. They are so incredibly comfortable and such a nice light material. Hopefully they will be back in stock soon!

Favorite Pants - I bought TWO!

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times
        • Fit: True to size
        • Size Bought: Medium

I love these pants so much that I immediately bought a second pair. I've worn them on short hikes, Barre class, airplane flights and just around town and they are the comfiest. The fabric is super stretchy, and the waistband is as well. I'd say that I'm a larger medium (Size 28/29 Denim), 5'9 with muscular legs and thighs, but wouldn't want any larger in the waistband so I stuck with this size. I would love more colors but only if the cuffs / waistband and body fabric were all the same colors (I don't like how the grey has contrasting cuffs and waistband - and won't buy this for that reason). I'd love an Olive Green or Navy Blue colorway. Keep up the great work!

        Cute but HUGE

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
        • Fit: Runs large
        • Size Bought: small
        • Height: 5'4"
        • Weight: 125lbs

I saw a coworker in these pants and they looked so good on her that I had to get a pair. I have thick legs and a bum so I didn't believe it when she said she recommended that I get a small, I'm usually a size 6 give or take. I took her advice and they were still too big! Definitely go down a size from what you're used to. On the bright side, the fabric is fantastic and the waist band is super comfortable. I can't wait for more inventory so I can try on an XS!

        THESE. PANTS. ARE. RAD.

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
        • Fit: Runs large
        • Size Bought: Small
        • Height: 5'11"
        • Weight: 145lbs

Im low key obsessed with these pants. They're super stretchy, comfy and breathable and i wear them all the time. Everyone I run into always asks me what pants these are because they want some too! They are the epitome of versatile, I've worn them around town, to work, on hikes and camping. Seriously so rad, Patagonia really nailed the athletic and leisurely look. They are slightly large in the waist, I usually wear a size 4 or 27 in pants and the small is a little big sometimes I find myself pulling up my pants a lot. I am also 5'11'' so the length is more of a capri on me than a shorter lady might wear. Overall, love these are I'm planning on buying a pair for all my home girls to rock too.

        Size down!

From Girlfriend - "I almost always order a size small in Patagonia and they were massive on me. Wouldn't even stay on my waist. The extra small is a perfect fit so I would recommend going 1 size lower. Thin and lightweight in a good way. I prefer these to a similar pair I have from TNF."

        Unanswered Question

Is this an older version of the happy hike pants. The back is different than the ones on the Patagonia website.
