    Warm to the core.

The Patagonia Men's Nano Puff Vest is an ultralight core insulator suitable for trips to the alpine whether you're climbing a new route or remote couloir. Its Primaloft Gold Eco insulation adds the touch of warmth needed for active endeavors in cold places, and it's so compressible the vest stows inside its own pocket for compact convenience on your harness or in your pack. Patagonia treated the vest's tough, recycled ripstop shell to shed snowflakes and raindrops when a rogue squall catches you without your shell on.

    Great vest!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

When I first got the vest i noticed it fits a little large, I got a medium and it fits very well with a hoodie under neither. From what I can tell it built very well and I don’t notice any immediate weak points.

    Really Stoked on this vest

    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: medium
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 175lbs

Patagonia is easily my favorite brand on Backcountry, and this vest is super rad. Light weight but also nice and toasty. A perfect extra layer for cooler hiking conditions.

    Couldn’t get a good fit

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 6'1"
    • Weight: 175lbs

Really love the look and feel of this vest. Unfortunately I am between sizes with Patagonia and couldn’t make either the medium or large work. 33” waist, the medium was skin tight with a T-shirt and the large had an extra 3” on the waist. Had to return this and am looking for a better option. Hopefully they redesign in the future for a better fit for us in the middle folks.

    A Trusty Layer

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'7"
    • Weight: 135lbs

Bought this for skiing as an additional layer on cold days. Now I use it for everything. It packs down into it's own chest pocket making it easy to bring along everywhere. I throw it in my day pack for hikes, climbing, or even just bumming around the city. It's a little extra warmth where ever you go. I fit into a small but prefer a more relaxed fit so I picked up the medium.

    Layer Friendly

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 170lbs

I love this vest it is very layer friendly. I put in under jackets for colder days or alone when the sun is out. Super functional, light weight and packs up small.

    Great vest! Runs slightly small

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Large

Awesome vest, I just happened to be in between sizes.

    Pretty great.

Slim but not snug fit. Amazing warmth for the weight with minimal bulk. This gets used year round by me.

There are some cinch straps at the waist, the ends of which were affixed somehow internally with a tab. This has recently pulled out, which means that every now and then I have to shove all the cord back in the channel. Mildly annoying and for the price, that gets docked a star.

Lived in it for 2 weeks

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Doing the vest thing was an experiment for me on my thru hike of the Ozark Highlands Trail a couple weeks ago. Usually I would consider a vest unnecessary, but it worked so well with my layering system, at least for my climate, that its my new thing! I lived in this vest for 2 weeks. Only time it came off was to change into and out of sleeping baselayer. I went with a synthetic as I knew I would inevitably sweat and that would be an issue with down. I wore a synthetic long sleeved shirt and just the vest over it every day while hiking. High temps ranged from 25-45 degrees with the majority hovering around freezing +/-. For how light this thing is it is incredibly warm and pairs perfectly with the Patagonia down sweater in a layering system. I am broad shouldered and the large fit perfect. Lastly, after 1 wash, I have noticed some insulation coming out of the seams on the back. It hasn't gotten any worse with time or affected performance, so I won't penalize, but it could be a potential issue.

    Warm Layer

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought this vest as a gift for my brother who lives in Maine. It should serve as a great layer to help him get through their cold winters.

    Classic Patagonia Vest

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: medium
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 175lbs

Bought this for my boyfriend who absolutely loves it. Slim fitting and warm, perfect to wear on a fall hike or in the office. He normally wears a large in Patagonia but got the medium so its a little more form fitting which was definitely a good call. Highly recommend - Patagonia nano puff products are the best!

    Anyone Can Rock This!!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This vest happens to be my second Patagonia vest. Its not bulky which is fine. Its a comfortable fit and I found myself using it a lot. I can definitely say its great for being outside during Sunday tailgating. A long sleeve under it would do you just fine. I have high confidence that Ill be wearing this during the spring as well. Once again Patagonia stays killing it.

    Perfect for fall weather

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Love this vest on chilly days. Comfortable and great weight to beat cool and windy fall days. Well made, light weight and warm.

    I bring mine everywhere.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 6'2"

I love the versatility of my nano puff jacket. It layers well, folds up small, and even looks good over a collared shirt on date night.

    Great layer!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XL
    • Height: 6'2"

I bought this in buffalo green for my husband. It is his second one, his last one was navy. It is the perfect weight for him, not too thick or hot. He wears it all the time in the fall, winter, and spring with t-shirts to sweatshirts. He is obsessed! Looks good for casual to business casual.

    Invisible Warmth

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 160lbs

This is my go-to mid layer for skiing as it adds good warmth but is so light and slim that I barely even notice I have it on. Very packable. Bought it on sale from Steep and Cheap.

Is the navy and paintbrush red color a true red? It looks orange in the picture.
