Great Freaking Boot
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: 12 USA
- Height: 6'1"
- Weight: 180lbs
I bought these for an 18 day trip to Argentina bc I wanted just one pair of shoes for both the north and the south (patagonia) and i didn't even own a mid height boot; I always wanted to buy something made by Mammut bc i loved the logo and name. It took about 2 miles of light walking for my heel to work in a perfectly shaped groove. I even took a functional fitness class in these. My toes bashed into some mega rocks and pieces of sharp ice on a glacier, and my toes never felt a thing. i even did a functional fitness class in these. a bit heavy but totally comfortable. as long as the weather was below 80 degrees my feet were happy. At over 80 degrees they became a bit unbearable, but between south Argentina and the north I was going to suffer somewhere. Very happy with the purchase. there is no doubt these are built to last and super comfortable. i am generally an 11.5 in Nike , Adidas, and New Balance running sneakers but needed a 12 in these, keeping in mind that having room in the toe is super important for any type of vertical hiking.
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
Great boots for the most part. The only complaints; my feet are very sore after use and the toe ripped open after tripping on a rock. Need better material on the toes.
