    Serving up good times.

Inspired by the surf-slashy vibe of the K2 Cool Bean, the Party Platter Snowboard uses K2's Volume Shift, which crams a gigantic surface area into a tiny package for quick-turning maneuverability and buoyancy in powder without the truck-like turning radius of a larger deck. The "smaller is better" design philosophy of the Party Platter allows you to downsize by a whopping seven to ten centimeters from your normal board, giving you a fun-loving option for messing around the park, dipping into tree stashes, and gliding across mellow powder fields.

Looking at the board's stubby-short outline, you'll immediately notice similarities with the Cool Bean, making it inherently more playful than a traditional board when you're slashing banked turns between the trees, railing carves on fresh corduroy, and spreading butters down the mountain. However, the main difference between the Cool Bean and Party Platter lies in its rounded, skate-inspired tail, which forgoes the swallowtail cut-out for a bit more snap off small jumps and natural hits.

The Party Platter's Directional Rocker profile is predominately flat throughout the board's running length, with a large, upturned nose effortlessly planing above the snow on those deep days when your friends are struggling to stay afloat. Since it's a tapered directional board, the tail naturally drops into fresh powder, making it a worthy contender for finding fresh stashes in the trees and soulfully slashing across open bowls. And because it's centered along the effective edge, you'll find you can actually ride and land switch when you're cruising party laps through the park with your friends.

Being a size 13 this board has surprised me! It rips Pow, groomers, ice, rails... This board digs trenches and will let you push yourself while playing everywhere. It rides switch without hesitation and the Ollie bar gives it more pop then most park boards. Get it now and buy it a small as you can!

Fast and Loose - Skate Style Fun

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Super fun, but not the board for every rider and every situation. It lacks a little power in the tail to keep you from wheeling out sometimes, but it charges if you keep your weight centered. It also has crazy pop; it wants to slash and pop every little feature on the mountain. It kills deep snow, and feels awesome on grromers - the torsional play really lets you drive the board through carves. Tight trees are awesome too as the little tail lets you pivot into and out of tight spots. Overall, super fun but not quite a quiver of one.

    Party On

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

After riding the K2 Cool Bean through 30+ pow days, I came to realize I ultimately was in the market for something similar but a little different - and the Party Platter delivered. The Cool Bean is awesome for riding powder (and that's about it), but on pow days I wanted something with a bit more tail to pop off features with and something a little longer for stability on bigger drops, without sacrificing edge to edge maneuverability. The Party Platter has a softer nose than the rest of the board, which is great for buttering around in powder, and is one of my favorite carving boards I own. The PP is a great pow deck with enough fun for groomer days or slushy spring days, and definitely lives up to K2's "enjoyer" series.

    The Softer K2 Powder Option

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

    Board: Party Platter 150cm
    Bindings: K2 ???
    Rider Weight: 180lbs
    Rider Height: 6'0''
    Rider Boot Size: 10
Quiver Position: Powder - with party qualities

    My ideal quiver includes:
    Powder / Freeride-Freestyle / All-Mountain / Party or Jib / Split Board

    Quiver:
This fills the powder part with a bit more emphasis on the party and freestyle.

    Flex:
This was a fun board but it won't end up in my quiver because the flex is too soft for my liking. That's where I'd go Cool Bean and the lighter guys could go Party Platter. This was definitely fun in the deeper snow but I still like a bit more of a stiffer flex even in powder. The part I really struggle on with this board was the hardpack. It felt a bit noodle like there.

    Board Selection:
There are a range of board options and this one might be for you....and it might not. Let's chat to make sure. We can also talk shop on boot, binding and board combos and how each part of the set up effects the others for your specific situation.

    Powabunga!!!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This board is awesome! I bought this for a trip to Japan and didn't really know what to expect at first, but this thing ripped deep pow! I sized down a full 10cm from my regular board size and got the 143 and it handled great on not only the deep stuff but also at high speeds on groomers. I've ridden a couple cool shaped pow boards and this one so far is my favorite. This board has a super surfy feel and can be ridden anywhere and do anything on the mountain. It doesn't get much better than this board on a pow day.
If you have any questions on this board or any of the other snowboards we carry feel free to reach out to me!
