    Step up.

It's time you got some serious, high-performance goggles. You've earned it, and the helmet-no-goggles look is not cool. It isn't even ironically cool. The Dragon D1 Goggle is fully helmet compatible. The D1 also sports an anti-fog lens with 100% UV protection, a tough polyurethane frame, and comfy face foam so you can have the goggle tan that you always wanted.

Great Value and Field of View

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

This is Jes' husband, she got me these goggles after I had done some research. I was looking for an affordable goggle with a pair of lenses to do everything, and it came down to this and the Smith Squads. However, the Squads are a bit smaller frame and the strap is also shorter (I wear a helmet), while the D1's fit me perfectly. If you have a smaller face or don't wear a helmet, the Squads seem like a good choice too.

The D1's are a larger goggle and have basically unobstructed peripheral vision, but they aren't massive or attention-drawing big (they may look a little large if you don't wear a helmet). But the frames perfectly fit into my helmet, no gap on the top and the sides wrap around very far. The straps have 3 silicone beads inside for gripping your head. My only complaint, which doesn't affect me, is they should have made the strap about 2" longer. I wear a S/M size helmet and the strap is maxed's the right size for me. But, if you wear a large helmet then try them out to see if they are too tight.

I have had zero issues with fogging under normal resort conditions, including little 5 minute hikes, etc. Even getting powder all over the lens vents and frame foam hasn't resulted in fogging (I do knock off that snow when I notice it). I feel like that's all you can ask for.

It takes me about a minute to swap the lenses, it isn't hard but you will touch the front of the lens and need to wipe it of fingerprints after (don't touch the inside!). This is fine for me, I don't need to buy frames/lenses with magnets or switches or something to swap in 5's not like I'd ride with spare lenses and swap on the lift, so that tech doesn't affect me at all. Especially because the lens pairing is so good you can make a choice in the parking lot and be fine for the whole day. I have the green ionized, which has a rose-amber base tint and is fairly dark. It's fantastic for all-around use from bluebird (it's a little bright but totally fine), to overcast and even patches of fog. The contrast is great and if clouds roll in you're fine. Then the yellow/blue ion is a bright lens that handles storms perfectly. It's a bit bright if the sun cuts through so I'd lean on the green ion for most days.

Basically, if you want a classic looking goggle with modern size, a great pairing of lenses, and want value over fancy lens changing tech then these are a no-brainer....unless you wear a giant helmet.

    Tried and true

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have been using this model on Mondays for years. It is a classic style. They are comfortable for my face and the coverage is good. I like the shiny lens, it makes it so you can't see my eyes. A good go-to frame and reasonable price for when you like switching up your style. Careful with the shiny coating, once it get's scratched will start flaking off.

    Great Fit and Awesome Brand!

I have been using Dragon goggles for 5 years now. I have used the Rogues and the DXs, both offer great fits. However the D1 is my new favorite! I love the old school look and the Dragons anti-fog lens that provide fog less days and great visibility. I recommend these goggles to anyone who wants a good looking goggle that also preforms like the higher end models.
