Streamlined and dependable.
The Chaco Women's Z/2 Classic Wide Sandal is trusted by serious outdoor enthusiasts for everyday adventures, rigorous hikes, and extended float trips thanks to its rugged durability and secure-fitting straps. Its refreshingly simple design uses eight components for a timeless aesthetic and reliability in demanding terrain, and this wide version serves up comfort and stability for those who find the originals too narrow. Pull-through adjustable webbing straps provide a fine-tuned fit. The trusty ladder lock buckle keeps the straps from migrating or loosening up as you walk long distances.
Ready for river runs and trips to the beach, the Z/2's wider footbed is textured to prevent your foot from sliding around once it's wet. A toe-loop provides additional forefoot control and a more secure fit that's extra handy when you're on the river. The LUVSEAT midsole cushions your every step and because it's suited for adventurous wear, the ChacoGrip rubber sole features 3mm lugs for aggressive traction across wet and dry surfaces alike.

Super Sturdy and Comfy!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I wore these Chacos on a backpacking trip, in the Wind Rivers, back in July. I packed boots with me as well, but I didn't want to take these Chacos off. I put in 35 miles in 2 days. I even hiked through snow in these to get to the Cirque of the Towers. I'm so happy with the sturdiness of this sandal. I wear these Chacos almost everyday. The only reason I give 4 stars is because over the course of the day the toe strap seems to tighten and begin to cut off circulation to my big toes. Now, I just don't use the toe strap. The drawback to this is that it makes the sandal fit loosely on my foot. Because of this I got one blister on the very last mile of the hike out of the Wind Rivers (still impressed I only had one!). I recommend Chacos to everyone. I am hoping to buy another pair soon, without the toe strap.
I bought this item as a gift for my mom. She thinks they're great and wears them everywhere!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
I'm from the East Coast and never thought I'd buy a pair of sandals. After 1 summer in Utah I had to break down and buy a pair. These sandals are comfortable and extremely functional. They have a hard sole- great for light hiking and are tremendous in the water. Since I was mostly buying for function I bought the toe strap sandal so I would ensure that it would stay in place in the water. The pattern is pretty. Overall very happy with the sandal.
