    Best Sandals Ever

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 8
    • Height: 5'8"
    • Weight: 165lbs

On my second pair. Wore the first for about 3 years until the strap finally broke. Never questioned that I wanted to replace with same. They’re truly the best, are supportive, and fit my feet perfect.

    Best Flip Ever

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

These are the best flip flops EVER MADE! They take some slight break in time but I hiked out of the grand canyon in them. Only downside the old model had a Vibram sole and they don't but at the end of the day still great!

    the best

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 10

Chaco eco flip flops are the best around. Great comfort and support. Already have 2 pair, wanted another.

    Lasts Forever

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 146lbs

They're a Chaco. They last forever so choose a color you like (not a problem with the choices they offer). The cool thing is that because there's alot of effort that goes into the design of the supportive footbed, you'll find yourself letting out that "Ahhhhhhh" sound when you put them back on after going astray with the other brands. Great arch and footbed support and the textured footbed provides grip when in wet conditions.

    Best for everything

The most durable, well-built stylin' flip-flop out there that I've found (I have the women's and after 5 years, still can't wear them out--no complaints). In and out of water, this holds up. I especially like the texture of the footbed--doesn't turn into a slippery fish that finds you doing the side slip when wet like the "smooth, soft" ones do.. The webbed nylon straps don't budge and the arch support and contoured footbed is one of the best I've found to avoid the ache that comes from other "supportive" sandals, even after long hours.

All day, every day kind of flip-flops

These are the perfect partner to pulling out the full chacos sandals - sometimes I just want to toss on flip flops for the day if I'm not out hiking around a bunch or want to bring something to a campsite.

These carry over the support, comfort, grip that I love from my chacos - but in a lighter flip-flop. It is a bit like if your cheap flip-flops went to the gym and bulked up. Also love these over leather flip-flops if / when it's wet - as these have great grip on the footbed and sole so I avoid the foot sliding around thing that I used to get with leather ones

Have had a pair for 2 years and they're holding up amazingly well, especially given the amount of use they get throughout the summer

    These rock.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've had the same pair for +5years. You can walk around in them all day long and they're incredibly comfortable. Also the material is amazing for gettingi wet/sweaty. They don't get all slippery or smelly. They rock.

    flip flop plus

    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 9
    • Height: 5'7"

quality that you would expect from chacos. i use these casually around town, camp, etc. the foot bed is so much better than a standard flip flop and the material offers a lot of traction for being a thong. i wear a size 9 and these fit me well, with just a cm or so to spare at toe and heel, which i find appropriate.

    Husbands Favorite!

My husband had these flip flops for years and they finally just gave out. Thanks partially to wear and tear and partially to our new puppy... so I made this purchase for a new pair for him and they are perfect. No need to break them in, great fit, love this seasons colors, and super comfortable to walk in- he even hikes in them! Definitely recommend these for anyone who needs a good, sturdy pair of flip flops.

      Flippin Good!

      • Height: 6'0"
      • Weight: 170lbs

I have been wearing awesome Chaco classics for a while now, but was still rocking the cheapo flip flops from the mall! Got these and I am in severe like so far. Comfortable and true to size.

**Update** I exchanged the size 9's and sized up to a 10. My heel was right at the back of the flipper and the 10 fits better. So, I suggest sizing up if you are somewhere between a 9-10. I wear 9's in my other Chacos.

      Beefy flip flops

      • Size Bought: 9

Picked these up so as to have a heftier flip flop for around camp. The Chaco soles are supportive and protective compared to flimsy flip flops. Sizing is a bit generous, but the extra area offers additional protection from sticks, rocks, etc. laying around camp.

Best Flip Flops on the Market!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: Runs large
      • Height: 5'6"
      • Weight: 140lbs

I’ve been wearing chaco sandals for years and finally decided to get some Chaco Flip Flops after my last pair of flip flops fell apart. So far I’m sold on these flops. They have a comfortable footbed that provides a little support, also the solid rubber sole feels very durable and provides pretty good traction for a flip flop. Bottom line, these are the best flip flop I’ve ever owned, so quit messing around with cheap flip flops that only last a year and get some Chaco flops.

Note: these sandals don’t come in half sizes and they run big so if you’re in between sizes you should size down for sure.

      Chaco for the Win

      • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Size 9

Got these flips for my brother in law. He refuses to wear a more structured sandal so these work great for him! Although probably not recommended for hiking, he doesn't seem to have a problem doing so. He loves the freedom of a flip flop with the nice sole and comfort that a shoe or more structured sandal would give you. They also last a very long time.

      Perfect

These sandals saved me in a bit of a awkward situation. My dog shredded my roommates sandals and these were an excellent replacement. He said they ran true to size and were much nicer than his last pair anyways.

My oldest version of these flips have...

My oldest version of these flips have Vibram soles. I bought another pair a couple years after my first pari that did NOT have vibram soles. Needless to say, the second pair was not nearly as comfortable as the first. Does this version have vibram soles as shown in the photo, or are they the partially recycled sole?

Under the description, it says the sole is 'Ecotread' (25% recycled rubber) despite the picture showing Vibram. I have encountered this on many other sites while looking for the Vibram sole - they're all Ecotread unfortunately. Now there's a new flip called Chaco Vibram Pro which should be closer to what you're looking for.

yes the pro version is a vibram sole but beware it is a softer rubber for getting better grip, BUT it is a marking rubber as well (black marks on the floor). so while they may be more comfy or whatever they will wear down faster

      Do these flip flops float?

      Do these flip flops float?

Answering my own question a few months later. Finally gave in and bought a pair but havent really had them by water until recently. Took my pup down to the lake behind my house and while i was there, I remembered that I wanted to test the chacos out to see if they would float. And they did. So no problems there. Just in case anyone was wondering or was looking at the previous response.

Do these flips have the Vibram sole still...

Do these flips have the Vibram sole still or has it been replaced with the recycled sole - I am concerned this will have a quality impact.

Affirmative. Indeed they do, TP. The Chaco Flips are probably THE best flip flops I've ever worn, hands down. The soles seem to last forever thanks to the Vibram rubber soles. Vibram rubber = bombproof... the Flip Sandals are too!

The current Chaco Flips do NOT have Vibram soles.

Chaco is now making a Flip Pro with Vibram Pro soles, but they are a separate item http://www.chacousa.com/US/en-US/ViewProduct.mvc.aspx/19787M/0/Mens/Flip-Pro?galleryId=M-FLIP. The Vibram Pro sole is designed for water use, and unlike the Vibram Unaweep sole used in most of the Z line, the Vibram Pro sole is very soft and will leave black marks.

The EcoTread sole used on these Chaco Flips looks very similar to a Vibram sole, and is made from 25% recycled rubber, and is non-marking.

i am a size 9, 2E width. a lot of 9 flip flops pinch my feet. would these be wide enough for me in a 9? or would i need a ten?

      I fit a size 13 in the z1 should I stick...

I fit a size 13 in the z1 should I stick with a 13 or size up like some of the reviews say?

They are form-fitting (snug) by design and feel different than a cheap, typical, foam flip-flop. In general, if you usually wear just a 13 with room and no complaints, then get a 13, but if you have several 13.5's (if they even make half sizes that large), or your 13's seem snug, then go up. They will break-in (stretch) a little with wear as well.
