    Just add juice.

We've all been there—you finish setting up camp just before sundown and then turn on your headlamp to see it flicker its last bit of light as soon as you turn it on. Normally, you're out of luck if you didn't bring spare batteries; not so with the Black Diamond ReVolt Headlamp. It features AAA batteries that are rechargeable via USB, so you can charge it through your car output, solar panel, or laptop. You can even toss in some regular AAA batteries in a pinch.

Dial in the right amount and type of light for the task at hand with proximity, distance, strobe, red night-vision, and dimmer settings. An adjustable headband allows for hands-free illumination, and a tilt function gets you the right angle for seeing what's coming at you. The three-level power meter takes the guesswork out of how much juice you have left.

    The Rechargeable Overachiever

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This headlamp has so many settings and functions its almost overwhelming at first, so check out this video to get a good idea of how to get the most out of this awesome headlamp!

    Light up your life

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Perfect headlamp, I have used it on so many camping trips and I never not need it. I never forget it because its perfect and I would be in the dark without it. Literally and figuratively. All the settings you need and its super light. I almost forget I am wearing it most times. Its comfortable and reliable. Highly recommend buying one!

    Perfect for intense trips

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've been using this headlamp for quite some time now and it hasn't let me down yet. During extended trips into the backcountry when you never know how much you'll have to use a headlamp, having the ability to plug these babies into a battery pack and charge it back up in no time was a life saver. Also, traveling overseas and not having to pack in extra batteries or try to search for AAA's in a country that may not have them is bonus. Not quite as bright as the disposable battery versions in my experience but twice as useful.

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Light and durable, with tons of settings. Battery life was great for a rechargeable headlamp and I love that you can swap in regular AAA's as well. Supposedly waterproof but I have not had to put that to the test quite yet.

    The Best Rechargeable Headlamp

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I’ve really liked this headlamp so far. It has lots of lighting options and modes to choose from and is plenty bright enough. Super convenient that batteries can be quickly recharged via USB. Would recommend!

Does it all and saves batteries

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

When you're constantly using your headlamp for morning or evening outings it's nice to not always have to be throwing away batteries (money & save the environment, yay!) . The ReVolt is a Spot, but with rechargeable capabilities. I use the rechargeable batteries 90% of the time. When I head out for a really big day or backpacking, I'll switch over to alkaline batteries for the extended performance options.

The main beam gives you plenty of distance and the proximity lighting is nice for not blinding your friends at camp. I've really started to appreciate the red LED function when looking at stars or getting ready for bed.

    Great Headlamp

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It lasts way longer than I thought it would on one charge. It's not the lightest on the market, but it's not super heavy either. I love recharging it instead of going and buying new batteries after every long trip. Overall, I'm quite pleased.

    Great lamp

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love this headlamp! I've been a long time user of BD headlamps and recently added this one to the collection. It's bright, the battery lasts a long time and I love that I can charge it in my car on my way to camp!

    Great Headlamp

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The Revolt is a great headlamp. The rechargeable batteries hold plenty of power and can be recharged through a micro USB cable. There are all the standard lighting options and power levels. Great headlamp!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I went on a 2 day backpacking trip to Upper Muley Trail, a quite treaterous trail in Capitol Reef National Park. Went to set up camp, and NOPE! Headlamp wouldn't work! It was about 30 degrees last night, but come ON! This is gear with the Black Diamond badge on it, is not on the "lower end," so you'd expect some performance. This is the FIRST TIME I"VE USED IT, and it's brand new (yes it had a full charge before I left). I don't know what happened but I don't care, this is unforgivable. Luckily my iPhone is made of better quality materials, and the flashlight served me well enough (thank God it had a good enough charge left, as I use it as my GPS using GaiaGPS). Will look into a replacement, this is unforgivable.

    Duel Battery

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love this headlamp for the simple reason that I can recharge it or just switch out the batteries for some regular AAAs. This is the most cost effective headlamp that has that ability. Cause having that option out in the backcountry can save you.

    Nice headlamp

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is the third Black Diamond headlamp I have purchased and they are great quality. Good durability and lots of settings for every occasion.

    Rechargeable Revolt

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Blinding 300 lumens delivered after a simple charge via micro USB. It comes with three BD rechargeable batteries and a charging cable.
The floodlight is phenomenal. Clear light with a super wide throw. It lights up a whole room and works well for camp tasks after dark.
The spotlight punches through the dark for distance viewing.
A single charge has lasted me two months, using the light approx. 4 nights per week for outdoor work.
(Tip: if the batteries won't charge while inside the headlamp, they probably drained from disuse. You can use one of those wall battery charging stations to jump start them. They're not dead!!)
It's a bit hefty on the head for everyday tasks, but if you need a bright, waterproof, rechargeable headlamp for outdoor pursuits, this is a great light.

    Great product

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this because I've had other Black Diamond headlamps but wanted something a little brighter than what i had. This is great! I like having the variable brightness so easily accessible when I don't need such a bright light. I'd recommend this product.

    Killer headlamp

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Overall, I love this headlamp. The rechargeable batteries and the ability to put in AAA batteries should you be in the situation where charging can't happen is a HUGE plus for me. I really hate wasting a lot of batteries so being able to easily recharge this little guy via USB charger is perfect. As far as the light goes, I love the many different brightness options / red light, works perfectly for running in the dead of night or setting up camp and trying not to blind your buddies. I will say, as far as a running headlamp, this one is a little on the heavier side. I've done some night runs with it because I dig the brightness it offers but the actually body of the headlamp is pretty heavier and bounces around a lot even when tightened way down to my head. Other than that, no complaints as all, this headlamp is my new go-to!

The tech specs on this headlamp lists a high lumens of 300. Black Diamond also lists a high lumens of 300 but other websites show a high of only 130 lumens. Which is correct?

Hey Wing - The ReVolt Headlamp has a high lumens of 300. I own this headlamp and would highly recommend it. If you do run it at 300 lumens the battery will not last as long. Feel free to contact me directly with any additional questions.
