    Rope dragging you down?

Black Diamond's Dynex 10mm Sewn Runners weigh 30% less than nylon runners to save weight on your rack for both summer and winter climbing. In addition to a low weight, Dynex runners also have less bulk, so they don't take up as much space on your rack, in your pack, and over your shoulder. They also absorb less water than nylon and don't freeze—obvious benefits for ice and alpine climbing. You need runners for just about every climb, so use these ultralight ones from Black Diamond.

    The perfect sling?

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

There's a reason just about everybody has one of these! Black Diamond really hit the nail on the head with this one, and designed a lightweight sling with all the features 95% of climbers are looking for. Ultralight, durable, and stronger than 27 oxen, there's no reason not to have these slings on your rack. My favorite length is the 240cm, which is great for building trad anchors with more than two pieces and also works well for a quad anchor on bolts.

    Well made and durable

These are light weight dyneema 60cm slings. I've found that I prefer these over the Mammut Contact 8.0 slings as they appear to be more durable and last longer. When my contact slings wear out they will all be replaced these dynex runners.

      Good for a quick anchor

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I like this sling for making a quick magic X anchor. It doesn't wear and fuzz like other runners I've run into. I wouldn't rely on this for a permanent top rope anchor alone, though. Safety third, friends!

Not much to say, just works well

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use this sling to organize a variety of carabiners, Quicklinks and other hardware for slacklining. The hardware gets kinda heavy and can chew up other webbing so this works really nicely. I could just tie a length of accessory cord and that would likely satisfy my needs just as well but I prefer how clean the sewn loop is.

Dynex Is Better Than Sex (Not Really)

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The BD Dynex slings are classic, dependable runners that have saved me plenty of times in sketchy situations. They are lightweight and durable for seasons to come. The 60cm works great to extend pieces while the 120cm is awesome at slinging trees or equalizing 2-bolt anchors.

As with all dyneema products, be wary of using it as a personal anchor. Other than that, the BD Dynex slings are reliable, lightweight runners for any scenario you would find in climbing.

      Unanswered Question

Does the length refer to the full length of the runner (as if you cut the runner and measured the full length of the dynex), or length from looped end to looped end when doubled (like from biner to biner)? Thanks
