    Oz Quickdraw

The Oz Quickdraw is Black Diamond's lightest draw for clipping stoppers in the alpine, screws on ice routes, or bolts at the crag. Despite a ridiculously low weight, the Oz still has friendly clipping features, like hoods over the gate to eliminate snags while cleaning. The super skinny Dynex sling sports a StraitJacket to stabilize the rope clipping carabiner.

    Light but design oversight.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

First let's start with the pros. These draws are super light and feel great to clip. At first they were my favorite draws now that I have climbed with the a lot I have noticed a drawback. The wire that keeps it from getting snagged also increases the profile of the nose. This means that they will barely fit through Leeper hangers, and won't fit through a lot of pitons. This is now making me not like these and instead I am going to start getting the Petzl Ange draws.

    Love these quickdraws

At first I bought 6 of these draws and I kept getting them, now I have 12. They are the perfect I prefer my draws at, they are light, and they clip really nicely. I like that these have the wire gate, they are then easy to push in and clip your rope in. I will definitely continue getting these draws. The only down fall is one of my wire gates bent a little bit since it was at an angle on the anchors on the rock at the top of the climb, but other then that I have had no problem with these draws.

Bought 12 of these - they weight one ounce per carabiner so 2ounces+ per quickdraw - that's insanely light and great for longer days deep in the backcountry/alpine. A staple on my rack.
