Are your ready to join up?

The 7mesh Industries Resistance Women's Cycling Jacket has plenty of great features, but it's what it doesn't have that's most important: weight. At just 110 grams, it's virtually unnoticeable on your back or in your pack. It also crams down to the size of your fist, so it's easy to stuff into a jersey pocket if you're afraid that a chilly wind might kick up during your ride. If it does, the jacket's Windstopper Active Shell windproof membrane will keep it from sucking the heat from your bones while allowing sweat to evaporate quickly and avoid cold, clammy rides home.

Like all 7mesh shells, the Resistance is cut with Helix patterning, which offers a cycling-specific fit with mobility in all the right places with a gripper elastic on the hem to prevent gaps. It won't bunch or ride up, and the slim fit reduces flapping so it doesn't function as an accidental air brake. Zippered wrist vents and passive back vents afford option airflow for warm conditions. There's even a mesh thumbhole cuff, which provides coverage for your hands and keeps your sleeves solidly in place. The Resistance is finished with low-bulk seam taping for and reflective details for an extra touch of safety, so it's ready to throw up a stop sign to chilly and windy conditions.

    3 star jacket

This is nice looking, and the arms length is very good. I have long arms, and am tall, 5’11’ and weigh 160 lb. The cons are the jacket does lack pockets, it’s not long in the waist, doesn’t cap down over the small of the back. I bought this on a discount and felt the price was fair, but it is not worth $200.

      Surprisingly versatile and amazing

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size

I've been using this jacket for a few months now, and at first thought it was a "fancy windbreaker". It's way more than that! First off it packs up smaller than a pair of arm warmers, and as a small woman my pocket space is always at a premium so I am grateful. I accidentally got caught in a downpour wearing this, and was surprised to find out that the water just beaded right off - the fabric is quietly totally waterproof, and the added touch of taped seams kept me 100% dry in Vancouver winter rain. This is also my go to jacket for mountain rides - you seriously don't need anything else to keep you warm on big mountain descents. It's also breathable enough that I've never gotten gross and clammy, and can even use this for rainy runs without overheating. This jacket is absolutely worth every penny - I even bought one for my boyfriend after a few weeks as I couldn't stop raving.
