    Minimalist approved.

You started out riding only smooth XC singletrack, doing some light trail riding now and then, and telling yourself knee guards were overkill for the kind of riding you were doing. But that was years ago, and as mountain bikes have become more discipline defying, so have you. Don't leave your knees bare and unprotected in the line of duty—encase them in 7 Protection's Transition Wrap Knee Guard to make sure a routine tip-over in a tough switchback doesn't leave you spending the weekend wrapped in gauze. For it's most minimal knee armor, 7 Protection uses a stretchy blend of polyester and spandex to keep the Transition breathable and well-suited to trail rides when you don't want to be weighed down by DH pads. The flexible pads harden on impact and are equipped to perform beyond CE safety standards.

    • A minimal, flexible knee pad ideal for trail riding
    • Supple cushioning hardens upon impact for protection
    • Internal silicone grips holds each guard in place
    • Stretchy, breathable construction moves with you

    Better Than it Looks

I have never worn knee pads for riding my mountain bike. The other day though I thought I would try them out and when I put them on I was wondering how long I would have them on for as they felt and looked bulky and wasn't sure how comfortable I would be. Flying down the trail though they were not too bad. They breathed well and after getting used to them I didn't even notice them when pedaling. I would recommend the smaller and thinner pair for those like me who don't do anything too crazy. Overall comfortable and don't feel as bulky as they look.
