Quality Jacket

As expected, another great jacket from 686. Just the right about of insulation for normal resort riding.

Awesome snowboard jacket

Really great design offering a ton of pockets to store your gear. The jacket fits lose on the body. The pink/white/grey pattern matches the rest of my gear.

Coat of my dreams

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The colors are amazing. The coat is so warm. I love that the waist band stretches. There is absolutely room for layering (I am 5'4" and 135lbs). The longer fit is not too long - its perfect. This coat was so worth the money :)

Light and comfortable jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The jacket is v light and comfortable. The color and pattern is great though the length a bit longer than I expected. Look forward to wearing it on the snow!

Faulty zipper design and other odd design features not well thought through

I love the pattern, length and warmth factor of this jacket, but that is where the love ends and the faulty design of the zippers leads me to give this jacket a low rating. All of the zippers catch which is incredibly inconvenient on the mountain. I often just give up trying to do the main zip up all the way past my collarbones, so end up spending the day with snow and cold air blowing in, and the collar flapping around me. The two breast pocket zips catch every time, and one is now completely stuck with fabric, so much so that if I try to pull it to fix it and do the zip up, I think I might tear the fabric. As another reviewer said, the double zip on the main zip of the jacket also comes up by itself, particularly when sitting on the lift, which again is very inconvenient. If you don't want to spend half the day wrenching at zippers, avoid this jacket! Another feature which I found really disappointing is that there is no connection hole between the phone pocket and the rest of the jacket to accomodate headphone cords. I realise headphone cords are old-school but I think it's a bit premature to assume that everyone is happy to use easy-to-lose wireless headphones, especially while skiing or snowboarding. For me to listen to music with the phone in the designated phone pocket, I had to have the cord coming out of the zipper and sitting on the outside of my jacket in the elements. The only other option was to have the phone in the interior pocket and run the cord up through the jacket. But that meant if I wanted to look at my phone I had to unzip my jacket (see above comments about inability to be able to do zip back up!). For the cost of this jacket I am incredibly disappointed, but at least I look good on the mountain I guess...

This jacket is so lightweight

This jacket is so lightweight yet it keeps me warm and dry. I’m 4”11 and weigh 120 lbs and got a size S with lots of rooms to layer up. Relaxed fit and length is perfect for my liking. Would recommend this to my friends!!

Perfect Baggy Fit

It's a little baggy but that is perfect for being on the mountain and having extra clothes underneath. I was actually worried that the Medium would be too small/tight and that I would need to get a Large (I normally wear size M tops/clothes) but the fit was great. Not too small/big and still have me plenty of movement.

Great look, zippers leave a lot to be desired

There are many thing to love about this jacket, and just a couple that are incredibly annoying. I constantly get compliments on the color- it is gorgeous. The fit is great, long enough to cover my backside and give me an extra layer when sitting in the lift. The problems most come with the zippers. I love the double zipper on the main zipper which allows for greater range of motion in my hips, but it does come up all on its own and continues to creep up so I occasionally have to pull the bottom zipper down. The zipper in the “insulated cell phone pocket” (which is the chest pocket on the left hand side of the jacket) constantly gets stuck on the fabric inside the pocket. This makes it mostly useless because I can’t trust I will be able to get my phone out. Once the zipper was stuck for a full day on the slopes. Other zippers also get caught, none as much as this one. I have given up using this pocket all together because my family needs to be able to get ahold of me when we are all out on the mountain. It is a shame because it is a good spot for a phone and nice and deep enough that the phone doesn’t press against my chest. If that pocket/zipper could be fixed I would give the coat 5 stars.
