SpeedCraft SL Sport Sunglasses
Rallying down a high-speed and slightly overgrown trail or switchbacky mountain road requires your full attention and both hands on the bars. Taking a hand off to push your sunglasses back up your nose or wipe off condensation is a no-no, something that the designers at 100% may have reflected on when they were rubber-side up in some trailside bushes. That’s why they built the Speedcraft SL Sport Sunglasses to stay put on your nose, fight off fog, and provide an unobstructed view for safety and speed on serious descents.
The Speedcraft SL is slightly smaller than the classic Speedcraft, but the first thing you’ll probably spot is the single undivided lens, which lets you see uninterrupted both horizontally and vertically without having to move your head up and down and tweak your neck. 100% also designed the lens to sit a little further away from your face than usual to allow more fog-fighting airflow. Hydrophilic nose pads stick to your face even when you get sweaty on the never-ending climbs between ripping descents, and the two included lenses let you choose between sunny and low-light options.
- Trail-ready cycling glasses for long days out in the mountains

Disappointed at first - Now Happy!
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Nice lens. I bought the yellow lens for overcast days. That's really nice. The mirror lens offers lots of protection from UV, wind, and debris. They did slightly fog up more than expected on slow climbs. More importantly, the frames arrived twisted. This has become far too distracting. The ear pieces are crooked. That causes the frames to tilt right and let light it over the frame on the right but not the left. Very Distracting. I will reach out to Ride100% to resolve the issue since backcountry is out of the color I purchased.... BUMMER!!! 3 star lens. 1 star frame. UPDATE**** I contacted 100% about my issues. They were completely out of replacement frames so I had to wait for a month. BUT, they didn't forget! I reached out to check on the ETA, and they had already sent me the replacements. I can tell they wanted to make this right. Accidents happen, but they stood behind their product and I'm happy with the results! 3.5 star lens. 5 star frame! ****Changed overall rating from 2 star to 4 star - Thanks 100% - excellent service!

- I've put it through the wringer
These shades are sweet. Originally I purchased the bigger ones, but those were super big! These fit well on the face and are average sized similar to Oakley Radars or Smith Pivlock glasses. The two lenses are a nice bonus and easy to change at. They hold tight to the face when bombing downhill.

- I've used it several times
I mean Peter Sagan wears them... All jokes aside, these are great glasses, optics are a touch below Smith and Oakley, as is overall fit and finish of the glasses themselves. Out of the box presentation is top notch. They come in an amazing box with a great case, extra clear lens, extra nose piece, and a cleaning cloth. Overall solid sunnys.

Function vs. Fashion
- I've used it several times
- True to size
Let me start out with saying that the packaging is fantastic. My very first impression of these glasses was "wow, they put some money into this box". That may sound kind of weird but when you're paying $150+ I really appreciate a company that is willing to put a little money into the presentation that we call a box. These come with a very generously sized hard case with a little baggy for your glasses as well as an extra set of lenses. The case fits the glasses and extra lenses perfectly which is another little thing but it just shows that 100% looked into the details on these glasses. Now, getting into the glasses themselves. I can't speak for the men but from a female perspective I am NOT wearing these around town with the girls. They look almost exactly like a miniature version of 100% accuri goggles without the bottom border. So...they don't exactly make you look fly on your way to the movies. As far as womens fashion goes these glasses kind of belly flop. But who cares, these are performance glasses so how do they perform? I really like these for riding. The lense sits far away from your face which I thought was odd at first but you don't have sweat dripping down your glasses and you can get a good breeze on your face the whole time. Having the big lense and minimal border also really helps with field of vision and I definitely prefer these to my previous pair of riding glasses that were smaller and had a full frame. For the ladies there's nothing more annoying than putting your sunglasses on your head and then having the nose pieces get stuck and tangled in your hair when you try to put them back on your face. These glasses never do that...EVER. I got the neon yellow/smoke version. The black lenses are pretty typical, I do like the clarity and they are just dark enough to cut the edge off the sun without occluding your vision at all. The other lenses (low light) that come with it are not totally clear, they have more of a mirrored finish to them so they work really well at dusk and even on a cloudy day. The low light lense will work at night but because it isn't entirely clear it's not my favorite for night riding but it definitely works. As far as sizing goes, I have a pretty small head and I was worried these wouldn't fit but with the rubber pieces on there they stay on my face just fine. That being said, they are big enough to fit a head larger than mine as well. All in all I am pleased with these. They vent well, you can hardly notice them in your peripheral vision and they are comfortable.

SNAP INTO A SLIM JIM
- I've used it several times
- Runs large
Obligatory Randy Savage references aside, these are some darn good sunglasses. I was admittedly a bit skeptical when I picked them up, but after spending a couple weeks with them, my opinion has turned in a very positive direction. First things first, these are big. Not as big as the standard Speedcraft, but still big on most peoples faces. I have a relatively narrow face, and they do look a little large, but the opposite side of that is that the field of view and protection from the glasses is extraordinary. Long descents at high speeds were no issue, with no wind irritation to speak of. Optical clarity is very good, not quite on par with Smith or Oakley, but about 90% of what they provide IMO. Like I said before, field of vision is excellent, especially leaned over and looking up, I got no interference from the frames of the glasses into my field of vision. The fit is the only place I had some issues. They grab and hold onto your face really well, the issue I had was with the arms of the glasses pressing a little too hard into my head behind my ears, and causing some minor irritation after about 2-3 hours. Other than that, these are a solid performer and definitely a pair of glasses I'm going to keep around for regular use. If you have any questions about the glasses or just want to talk bike, feel free to hit me up at email@example.com or call in at 801.736.6396 x4141, I'd be happy to help!

What is the difference between the SL and regular? Lens size ?or weight?
June 12, 2017
Hey Eduardo! The Speedcraft SL has a Shorter Lens profile than the regulars. They may be a touch lighter, but the main difference is the lens size. Give a shout to my direct line 801.204.4547 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any other questions or would like help placing an order for a pair! Cheers, Connor

Lens size and nose bridge are smaller to my understanding
July 1, 2016
Hi Guys, I was wondering how wide these glasses are. The 100% website doesn't provide any measurements but I see that you guys recommend them for medium face people. Would it be possible to get the width of the lens and the widest part of the sunnies? Thanks, Sam.

Hey Sam! I actually have a pair of these myself, so I took some measurements for you. They are just big glasses in general, that's why the recommendation is for larger faces, but anyone can wear them. Width: 16cm Height: 6cm.
