Disappointing customer service
I ordered this fleece over 2 weeks before Mother’s Day as a gift for my mom. After following up with backcountry on two different occasions, a package was delivered a several days after Mother’s Day. The package contained the wrong jacket. When I asked them to fix the mistake and overnight the right jacket, they insisted I ask my mother to package and return the jacket sent by mistake or pay for that jacket as well. The fact that they would ask to have my mother do this after completely screwing up the entire order is lousy customer service.

Runs small/ tight fitting

My normal size is small. This fits very tight especially in the arm and pit area and my arms are not even big. My arms are very slim. I should’ve gotten medium had I known these jackets run small. Now they didn’t have size M in the floor I want. Mb I’ll keep small and deal with tightness in the arm area. Note to self- with these jackets, size up. I also ordered the same version in vest in size small, which is also very tight and small. Luckily I was able to exchange vest to medium.

Patagonia Better Sweater

Bought this to layer when outside under winter coat. Good quality and keeps you warmer than other fleece jackets. This is the 3rd Patagonia Better Sweater I have bought. All 3 are Mediums and all 3 fit different. One is tight fitting.

I’ve owned for a year with no issues regarding the quality. I’m always cold in the winter but find that this keeps me warm. I’m 5’3” 130lb and bought a small. It fit perfectly when I got it, but I think it has shrunk a touch after several washes. I could see where it might be tight in the arms/chest for some but that’s not a problem I ever have. I would size up if you’re in doubt.

Huge Disappointment

I expected a lot more from Patagonia given the price for a FLEECE jacket. The inside isn’t soft, it runs small and there’s just no justification for the price and quality. I’m 5’7, weigh 130 pounds and the small fit snug and the arm length is short (I’m used to this given my height). Point is… I have better quality Colombia jackets and North Face jackets that I’ve gotten cheaper. Also, BackCountry doesn’t do free returns so keep that in mind.

Zipper Broke

I bought this sweater in September as a birthday present, less than three months ago & the zipper broke. Backcountry said I’m outside their return policy & to go to Patagonia-not a fun situation. The sweater overall is good when you want light coverage (45-60 degree weather).

Too light and tight

This jacket was a lot lighter than I expected, more like a light hoodie than fleece. I have a Synchilla in size large and love the fit but a size large in this is super tight. It shows every fold. Definitely not worth the price. I'm a size 8/medium in other brands for reference.
