Description

Don't get dinged by airport gorillas.

Race wheels put a dent in your wallet, which why it feels like the worst thing on earth when they get dinged in transit to a race. For this reason, Zipp created the SG Dual Wheel Bag in order to provide protection for your wheels in the car or on the plane. And while your wheels physically benefit from this, you'll also gain a peace-of-mind that'll allow you to concentrate on your big event.

In contrast to other bags on the market, Zipp makes sure that this one's not simply a thin sack that holds your wheels. Instead, Zipp's Double Wheelbag features a tough nylon cover, and it also has a layer of high-density foam that cushions the wheels (an important detail if you have 60mm+ carbon rims). Each wheel is cradled inside its own pocket, keeping the wheels separate from each other. There are also a number of small compartments that allow for storage of smaller items and accessories like quick-releases, Co2 cartridges, valve extenders, and extra tubes.

The Zipp SG Dual Wheel Bag is available in a 91x71x25cm size and in the color Black. It also features a removable, padded shoulder strap to ease portage.

Not a hard case, but damn close

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Was initially skeptical about a 125$ wheelbag. However, this thing does not disappoint; well crafted, with embroidery, and numerous pockets. Haven't beaten it up quite yet, but I am satisfied so far.
