Cycling is an expensive addiction. When you start, you tell yourself you'll buy a bike and you're done. Wrong. There are all kinds of things you can spend your money on. Apparel can be one of the largest expenditures, and not everyone can afford to drop two hundred dollars on a training bib short. Zero RH+ hears you and answers with the O-Key Bib Short. While the price is reasonable, Zero RH+ was still able to use some of its finest materials to build the O-Key.

The O-Key Bib Short is made with Zero RH+'s Firedry fabric. This moisture-wicking breathable fabric keeps you dry and comfortable during hot summer rides. Firedry is the second lightest of the Firedry series of fabrics and is designed specifically for hot-weather riding. This four-way stretch material is lighter than traditional fabrics, is abrasion- and wear-resistant, and provides exceptional aerodynamics.

The O-Key Bib Short comes with Zero RH+'s Saturn chamois. This hand-sewn pad provides shock-absorbing cushion to reduce fatigue and numbness over the course of a three- to four-hour ride. The Saturn's moisture management keeps you dry and comfortable when you most need to be. The gender-specific Saturn is made from high-density foam with a low compression coefficient that ensures effectiveness after hundreds of miles in the saddle.

The bib portion of the O-Key Bib Short is made using a technique of preformed anatomic construction. This provides a comfortable, natural fit, especially in the riding position. The mesh braces force cooling air to pass through the bib to keep you cool and further speed sweat evaporation. Ultra-flat seams are used throughout to reduce chafing and irritation.

The Zero RH+ O-Key Bib Short comes in sizes Small through 3X-Large and is available in the colors Black/white, White/black/foliage green, or White/black/red. Two reflective rear inserts make you more visible in traffic for added safety.

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I am 6'2", 195 lbs, 35" waist and the XL fit great & snug.

The good news - great fit and the bibs look great. Very comfortable fit and chamois. The sale price seemed a steal too (I soon found out why)

the not so good news - after 1 ride of 40 miles, I had a large frayed patch in the inner right thigh, so I suspect the quality of material is not up to standard. My Garneau Equipe's have minimal wear after 18 months, so I'm returning these for some Garneau bibs.

Size Up

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

Normally I go medium (33'' waist) but with some cycling stuff I size up to large. Glad I did with these, they fit great.

Chamois feels pretty comfy and they fit nice and snug, and the suspender part sits nice on the shoulders. Graphics are okay and they silver stuff in the picture is reflective. 4 out of 5 based on a comparison to the best bibs I have worn (Pearl Izumi)
