Steep snow? Technical glaciers? Exposed rock? Vertical ice? Zamberlan's Pamir GTX RR Men's Mountaineering Boot can crush it all, call it a warmup, and then tackle something a little more serious. It's not Zamberlan's warmest, most heavy-duty boot (the Eiger GTX, Karka RR, and Everest Plus RR are all bigger and warmer), but the Pamir might be the most versatile. And it's still rugged enough to tackle all but the biggest, coldest peaks. The upper, made from Hydrobloc Perwanger leather, Superfabric, Cordura, and microfiber, is burly but flexible and breathable, thanks to the Flex STM ankle-joint movement and Zamberlan Air System construction. Zamberlan lined the boot with a warm, waterproof, and breathable Gore-Tex Insulated Comfort membrane to keep your feet warm, dry, and happy on long, difficult climbs.

Zamberlan's Z Tech last is slightly asymmetrical, has lower volume, and a solid heel pocket to provide a seriously technical fit, and it's boosted by an adjustable padded double tongue and quick-lace system that lets you lock down the Pamir with ease. Atriple-density PU wedge midsole provides cushioning, while the RRS rubber reinforcement system wraps around the boot to protect your feet from rocks and ice. Grip won't be a problem, either, because Zamberlan decked out the Pamir with a Vibram Teton sole and outfitted it with a PCS Pro Crampon System to allow for easy, fast, and secure crampon-wearing, whether you're scaling exposed ridges or swinging axes into water ice. Best of all, the Pamir weighs just 2.5 lbs, so you won't feel like you're hauling cement slippers up a 6000m peak just to get a little extra workout.
