From Aconcagua to the ice park.
Whether you're ascending vertical ice or spending long days roped up on a glacier, Zamberlan's 4000 Eiger GTX RR Men's Mountaineering Boot delivers the warmth and hard-wearing performance that's key to success in high alpine environments. The outer gaiter of the Eiger is composed of a Stretch Cordura and microfiber that's been laminated to a polyester material and has been reinforced with a full-wrap rubber rand, making the boot almost impervious to wear from rock and ice. The outer gaiter is also fitted with a waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex membrane and secured with a special waterproof zipper, ensuring complete waterproof protection.
To ensure warmth, Zamberlan put a thermo footbed underfoot, then added a layer of heat-reflective aluminum of additional warmth. An additional PE layer offers a touch of cushioning for added comfort during those long-haul days, while the nylon and fiberglass shank offer a stiff platform to climb vertical and ice and mixed routes from. The whole shebang is built on a Vibram Teton sole for solid traction once the crampons come off. The addition of thermoplastic toe and heel welts make the boot compatible with step-in crampons thanks to Zamberlan's Pro Crampon System. Like all Zamberlan's mountaineering boots, the Eiger 4000 is made in Italy and is built to put the handle on some of the toughest alpine climbs on the globe.
