    Protect your lunch.

There's nothing worse then reaching into the cooler and pulling out a lukewarm beer or soggy sandwich, but the Yeti Roadie 20 Personal Cooler will make such problems a thing of the past. It holds more than enough for a day at the job site, on the water, or at the golf course with a rugged Rotomold design that can take a serious beating without denting or breaking. PermaFrost insulation seals in all your precious air, while the No-Sweat design keeps condensation at bay and the Bearfoot non-slip feet mean you won't spend all your time making sure your beers don't slide away. Yeti built in a Vortex drain, too, so you can easily dump water when it's time to pack up and go.

The question is not whether you need this cooler, but rather how can you possibly live your life without this cooler? This is the perfect size for road trips and you can count on having cold drinks at any time. This cooler is solid and functional and yes, it may be pricey, but it is worth every penny.

    Awesome Coolers!!!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought the Tundra 65 in white and the Roadie in tan. I will say these things are built like a tank. Probably the last coolers I buy unless I decide to get a bigger one. The 65 was perfect for a 3 day camping trip for my wife, daughter, and I. It held plenty of food and drinks for all 3 of us. I must admit I had the Roadie packed with beer to help. I would definitely want a bigger one for any longer than 3 days though. We got the Roadie for the all day in and out drink cooler so we wouldn't keep opening the food cooler. The surface temperature of the different colors is definitely worth noting. When both of them were in direct sunlight, the tan one was hot to touch while the white one was always cool. That's what I had anticipated and why I bought the colors in the sizes I did. The larger white one will usually just be in the bed of my truck or nearby at the campsite while the tan Roadie is what we drag everywhere. The tan definitely hides dirt much better than the white one. So get the white if you're looking to conserve ice and get the tan one if you are going to get it filthy. Jared Downs at Backcountry.com helped me out by getting it to me on time before I left for our trip. I have been dealing with Jared over the years for everything I buy from Backcountry and he has always been awesome. He has great product knowledge and always helps me find the best deal. I can't say enough good things about him. Plus he always has cool pictures of his latest adventures.

    Its Dandy

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought this for my dad for his birthday and he loves it. He brings it out on the ranch everyday with his lunch and snacks and it keeps everything nice and fresh. Ill take it occasionally for small day trips fishing or an over night camp spot and its perfect. Anything for multiple days then you definitely need to size up.

    Constant companion

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is in the truck all the time. It's amazing the connections you can make at the trailhead with ice cold beer waiting in your truck for post ride festivities.
Pro Tip: great place to display all those stickers people are Constantine giving you.
Pro Tip: pre cool I. The summer for. Longer lasting ice. To do,this place some ice in the cooler the night before.

lives in car, always cold drinks at TH

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This cooler is pretty much living in my trunk since I got it. I just restock the cold bevies and ice as needed. I freeze water bottles to use as ice packs, and then have cold drinking water as it melts. The ice will slowly start to melt over time, but I can still have cold icy water DAYS later.

So now I always have cold drinks and snacks for post work bike rides. And in the event you decide to leave your house at 4:30am for a sunrise ride, but need to plan for a sunset bbq, and need cold storage for marinating ribs before they finally get to the grill 12+ hours after sitting in a hot car all day, this cooler can do that (and then some!)

Also doubles as a great stool for sitting, or step stool for whatever you may need to reach on the roof of your car.

    Road Trip Favorite

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is now my 2nd Yeti cooler and I'm just as excited about it as I was the first (which I still have, it's just bigger). The Yeti Roadie is perfect for road trips - not too huge and keeps everything cold as possible. I would highly recommend!

    Cold Beer for DAYS!!!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is the best cooler on the market and you want it!! I use this cooler for every adventurer or just going to ski for the day. Its super durable and keeps ice for days, not kidding. I first time I used it was on a fishing/motocross trip in CO. I filled it up the day I got there and had ice for days. Normally camping where I was you may worry about bears, but do fret this cooler is Bear Prof. They also designed it to be strong enough to stand on and bash around. I personally have used it as a stand for my Dirt Bike and had no dents or damage. Overall if you dont have this you need it!!! Yeti is pushing the limits of how we think about coolers.

    Cold Beer for DAYS!!!

    Zero Complaints

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've used this on several road trips now and it has proven absolutely perfect. I purposely chose the Roadie because I wanted something for short weekender trips to Moab and other S. Utah locations. Every trip, I filled it up with ice and when I get home there is still TONS of ice left with only about a 1/2 inch of water on the bottom.

I would entirely recommend getting this if you want a small cooler that is great for a few days for a few people. The Roadie is heavy for a smaller style cooler but it makes everything stay sooo much colder than one of those coolers you can buy for $20. It is an investment and people know it so make sure you lock it, keep it secret and keep it safe.

The picture I attached is before I loaded it with ice of course. So you can see that it is plenty big for a few drinks, condiments, some deli meat and other things.

    Ice For All

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I have only really tested this out in my house with keeping various 6'ers cold, which it has done a phenomenal job with. The insulation is THICK, which does cut down on the usable space, but is well worth it in my opinion. I am currently figuring out how to best incorporate it with my sleeping platform for car camping, and once I've taken it out on a few adventures I'll update here.

Update: Ice really does take forever to melt in here. I attached a picture with some food & beer and a 7lb bag of ice to help with a visualization of the interior space.

    Ice For All

    Great for my needs

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is a great cooler. The size works for my family of three. We don't go on long adventures because my daughter is only 19 months. Honestly, I was surprised by the size when I first purchased the cooler. Because the insulation is so thick, it looks like a bigger cooler than it is. If you need a reference point on the size, I would say that if you put two gallons of milk and some small fillers in the cooler it would be full. The quality of the cooler is better than anything I have ever seen. At first, I didn't like the metal handle, but now that I've used it a couple times I think it is better than two separate handles. The design makes it really easy to haul around.

    Great for my needs

Just spent my paycheck on this cooler...

BUT it was worth it. We ended up buying one 20 yeti cooler as well as a 45 yeti cooler. The 20 has a fabulous handle that can be carried by one person compared to the 45. The reason why we got 2 instead of one large one is because we like to keep our food & meat separate from beverages while camping. I've tested out other yetis on photoshoots and I would have to say these hard top ones are the best & keep items cold for multi days. The soft sided cooler looks great but doesn't hold items cold as long as these hard sided yetis.

      Stepping stool

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm a fairly short guy so I often use the roadie as my step ladder when loading bikes onto the car. As a cooler it works great. I can store a good amount of drinks/sandwiches/snacks for 2 person road trips and have never worried about it keeping things cold either in or out of the sun. It's pretty much bomb proof and the locking handle makes it really easy to haul around.
