The ice for days performance of Yeti in a portable package.

The fact that the Hopper 30 Cooler is made by Yeti is enough information for you to know that it is one tough son of a gun. This portable offering from Yeti allows you take the same ice-for-days performance that has become synonymous with Yeti even further along on your adventures.

Made with a Dryhide shell (the same material used in whitewater rafts and survival suits), the Hopper 30 is completely leak proof and puncture resistant. Coldcell insulation delivers the same cold-keeping performance you've come to expect from Yeti, and the Hydrolock Zipper makes for a watertight closure to the cooler. A heavily padded EVA foam bottom protects against wear and tear, and six heavy duty D-ring tie down points allow you to securely fasten the cooler to your four wheeler, boat bottom, truck bed, or drift boat. The tapered design is intended to reduce cold loss and allows for ease of carrying when walking long distances. The cooler has a 6.5 gallon carrying capacity, which according to Yeti, allows it to easily accomodate an 18 pack, six footlong subs, or nine quarts of potato salad.

    Love my hopper!

I have a Hopper 40 that works great for long weekends. This is a cooler you can sit on, throw around and beat to hell without worrying about it breaking. With the right packing, I kept food and beer cold for 6 days in the hot Utah sun.

      Worth it...

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Debated this purchase for a while given the price and after using it a few times on family camping trips (family of 4), it's all it's cracked up to be. 3 day weekends, keeps our family drinks cool for the entire weekend. Shouldn't have waited so long.

      Can't beat this cooler!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This cooler works as advertised if you fill it up with ice as directed. I have used it for 3 trips now. I filled it with ice the night before. The next day, I took some ice out, put my items in and covered them with ice. Even leaving it in my car in Texas in August, everything was cold and it had a LOT of ice left inside. The ice actually lasted overnight and even 3 days later, the water that remained was cold. Worth every penny.

      Worth it

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Chances are if you're on this page you're already familiar with Yeti and the Hopper line of coolers. That being said, if you're considering one just go ahead and do it already.

      Keeps cold for days

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This doesn't keep things as cold as their hard coolers, but it's perfect for a day trip, or even two. It will keep ice about 10% solid, for a couple of day, even sitting in the sun. It's fits a ton of drinks and food, as well.

There are rings on the bag, to secure it to your boat, as well. All-Star product!

      Keeps cold for days

      EXCELLENT COOLER

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Like to fish when it's hot? I do. Unfortunately my drinks are also hot by noon. This cooler will keep enough drinks COLD for 4 guys in a boat. After 50 years of chasing fish in the Fl Keys, MN, and Alaska every year I have finally found a product that works. Excellent, excellent product. You won't be disappointed!!!!!

Don't think about it, just go for it

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Many, me included, have balked at Yeti Coolers due to stick shock. They are worth it and the YETI Hopper 30 is no exception. This cooler does an exceptional job of keeping anything cold for very long periods of time. I love the portability of the Hopper 30 for day trips of long drives. If you are looking to keep food for multiple humans cold for multiple days I would go with one of the coolers, but if you are looking for the cooler to throw in the back of you truck for a fly fishing trip or a day at the beach look no further. I paired my hopper with a YETI sidekick and bottle opener. Despite the price tag, I have not regretted my decision to purchase this cooler for one moment.

      COOL(er) Galore!!

It works in NYC too!! Shlepped it from 9:00am to 4:00pm in 91-degrees, back of cabs, subways, directly under the sun of Central Park while we hid in the shade. Kids dumped fruit juice on it, milk, chocolate, dust, sand, constantly opening and closing the cooler. Come home, wipe off with Lysol wipe, and open to 90% of ice remaining plus ICE COLD beer!! Amazing!! You.Pay.For.What.You.Get. And forget the complainers about the zipper ... get a man to open the cooler for you.

        COOL(er) Galore!!

        Golf Buddy

        • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Shortly after arriving home from golfing with his buddies; my husband flat out told me he wasn't going to been seen carrying around my monogrammed Vera Bradley cooler any longer. He needed and I quote "a man cooler... you know who makes a cool cooler... Yeti". So there you have it I bought the Hopper 30, Hopper sidekick, and two of the Yeti ice packs for his weekend long Austin golf trip. Of course, like all the other products Yeti products (ramblers, low balls and so on) it worked great. He even "tested it" by leaving the ice along with the beers in the kitchen (next to the refrigerator) for 2 days because I refused to clean it out and the ice was still solid. ; ) #guys #staysingleladies

***I would definitely recommend getting the sidekick because if you don't you have no where to put your cell phone or keys which is highly annoying. Plus, it's great for the beach or pool! I would also recommend registering your Hopper, you'll receive a free bottle opener (refer to photo)! I tried to get the bottle opener that goes on the Yeti strap but it was sold out 3 places!

Thanks Yeti for making my husband 'cool' again!

Great Alternative to Full Sized Cooler

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

When a full sized cooler is overkill for a day trip, hike, or other smaller activity the Yeti Hopper is a great alternative. It will tuck in behind the driver's seat for long road trips, fit on a drift boat, or carry a picnic for two. It is absolutely a luxury item, but this is the best of the best. Guides love it for taking up less room on a drift boat, and I think everyone else will like it for the convenience of the small footprint and ability to keep things ice cold for the day. My only criticism is that the zipper is a bit stiff and the opening to the cooler are more rigid and smaller than I would have expected. Having said this, it is obvious these are design necessities to keep the cold inside the cooler. Love the cooler and would definitely recommend it.

Wish it had a drain plug

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Keeps ice cold, it's not as good as a hard sided yeti but does a good job, used it on a two week road trip and added a bag of ice every couple days. If I could drain the water out the bottom instead of the top it'd be better.

Perfect alternative to a full cooler

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this to use as an alternative to a traditional cooler for day trips on my drift boat. Takes up minimal room (fits great right behind the rower's seat) and keeps drinks cold all day. Really durable and a lot easier to carry, load/unload, clean vs. a cooler. Highly recommended.

Keeps my beer nice and cold

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've taken this bad boy everywhere from office cookouts to a week at the lake, to a music festival in 100 degree temps and it's always kept my beverages nice and cold. Its tough as nails and it is a great conversation starter.

I've heard people complain about the design: that it is hard to open, or heavy or the opening is small. Yeah, those are all why you can keep ice for days. If you want something light and easy to open grab a $10 one from your local big box. Rest assured that as you use this cooler, it will soften up and get a little more flexible.

Pro Tip: Do yourself a service and follow Yeti's directions. Start with a cool bag, don't toss out the cold water and throw in some rock salt. I swear I ended up with frozen bottles of water after I threw in some rock salt and let them sit over night.

Super Insulated, Super Tough, OK Design

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It will keep ice for a couple days. I keep mine in the truck loaded with waters. It is Tough. I camp with it and lug it to the beach, throw it on the boat. But, the design is not great. It is difficult to carry long distances, you will not hike-in camp with it. It has limited interior space due to the awkward shape. If they designed this with Backpack straps and an ovalized-tower shape with a zip off, hinged lid it would be great.
