Keep the soles of your brand new ski boots clean and free from dangerous heel and toe wear-and-tear by using the Yaktrack SkiTrack Boot Protection. Concrete sidewalks and rocky parking lots can beat up the soles of your alpine boots quickly, eventually causing fit issues when you try step into your ski bindings. SkiTrack boot protectors easily stretch over the soles of your boots from heel to toe, providing extra traction on snow and ice while reducing excessive wear. Wear these protectors all the way down to temperatures as slow as -41-degrees farenheit and tread around your local resort with confidence.
Bottom Line: Protect your soles and conquer slippery lodge stairs with steadfast traction.
I got these just to keep my boots from getting chewed up by the asphalt. Little did I know, they have rocker in them. SkiTrax allow for the most natural walking in ski boots possible. When walking with these I feel like the walk across the parking lots isn't so bad after all. They are a bit cumbersum, but they'll fit easily in a backpack or stuff them in your pockets.
Bottome line, great protection, and great walking.
Fit great out of the box, and comfy as hell walking around both inside and outside on pavement and grass. Looking forward to getting these use on snow in VT in 2 weeks

The Yaktrax SkiTrax seems like a superior product to the very old design of Cat Tracks. I was able to finally use the SkiTrax just a few days after receiving them from Backcountry. They feel very strong, and even better, feel stable when walking on pavement, ice and snow. I was very happy with them . . . until the end of the first day and I tried to put them back on. On the back of the SkiTrax is a little rubber loop to pull them onto your boot. These loops are so brittle that on the first tug they ripped off. I hadn't even pulled them very hard. I would return them, but with the shipping cost to return them, its just not worth the time. I'll try and see if there is a way to reattach the loops back onto the SkiTrax before I toss them into the trash. If this issue could be fixed, I would definitely recommend them.
I using these for a week of skiing I am very happy with them. They are extremely comfortable to walk with. The classic "Thump-thump" per step sound associated with walking in ski boots is out the door. In the snow they get you great traction and you are able to walk with confidence. The way these fit allow you to walk naturally and it is quiest and easy. They are a little big but they fit into my skins pocket on my pack with no problem. They protect your boots very well, one trip to the car and I just didnt put them on and my new boots already showed wear. I only one come loose during a walk through the lot and I'm pretty sure it was because I did not fully get it cuffed around the back of my boot. For the price I would say this a very smart investment to help protect your boots for years to come. GREAT PRODUCT!
Great idea, work well and make walking much easier, but they don,t stay on. After a short time of use they streatched out and started to fall off. At this pint they are so unprdictable they are not worth the hassle.
I got Yaktrax for my wife, daughter, and me this past December, and have now used them a few times... In a word, Fantastic! Not only do they offer the obvious protection, they offer cushioning and what feels like a bit of a rocker, making it so much easier to walk in boots. Also, as we can wear our boots from the car to the slopes, we're wasting less time lugging boots to the lodge (dad's job), changing into them, and getting a locker for our shoes - time better served skiing! ...They seem very durable, slip easily on and off, and fit in your pocket for quick storage... Highly recommended, especially with kids...
