Solid Rack

I've had this rack for about two years now and it's been solid. My only complaint is a lack of a locking system. Other than that, it's been a workhorse and stayed on my car for the two years straight without any issues.

Hi D.
You would do it the same way as a mens bike, just use the diagonal bar...it will just have one wheel in the air instead of parallel to the ground... With the super joe you can rotate the bike cradles and frame to get creative which will help!
alot of time and research

so i recently go into biking and being ridiulously analytical i spend solid 25+hours researching bike racks from rood mount to trunk mount to accomodate ym kona kahuna mtn bike and my trek cf road bike.
yakim a and thule are the biggest and top two names out there when it comes to bike racks.
thule has a a bunch of different models and names and types for all sorts of cars, yakima made it simple this rack will fit almost any car with a trunk regardless of spoiler or spoiler size...
i got the rack very fast in the meail from realcyclist so A+
setup time....i pulled the rack out of the box looked over the instructions and had it on my car in under 15 minutes...you spread the bars open to a measurement the instructions tell you and lock it in place with the quick locks then you sit it on your car and tighten the straps
VERY IMPORTANT...I READ ALOT of reviews that involved people complaining that the rack went loose or the bikes flew off on the highway it wasnt stable..etc...if you read the instructions it says tighten the rack down when you install it and always double check the straps for the first couple times you put a bike on it the extra weight will push down on the rack and you should tighten them up again....new fabric and straps have some "stretch" to them fresh out of the factory i re tightend mine after the second bike trip i went on and they have been fine ever since with NO WORRIES....
second alot of people compaline the straps to mount the bike were too loose and the bike wobbled..... AGAIN IF YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS you are supposed to attach the rubber straps to hold you bike down DIAGONALLY NOT DIRECTLY OVER... it provides more security to your bike and you really stretch the rubber bands they will be fine i finally snapped one of mine by REALLY REALLY pulling on it tight but i moved it down a hole and still works great.
its a great buy if you find it for a good price...i got mine on sale here for $76.00 with a free shipping coupon...just keep looking around

same way as a regular bike you just have to tilt the bike more so the top tube is flat...if you dont like that websites sell "tupe extenders" or something like that for $20 that you can clip on a womens bike when you put it on a bike rack.

"It will fit if the rear spoiler is completely attached to the car with no space between it and the trunk. If you have a floating spoiler that is attached to the car at only the two ends, then a trunk mount rack is not rated to work with your vehicle."

HEY! This needs some substantiation folks. low profile 2 point attached OEM spoilers are everywhere. These trunk lids are not any less substantial than an ordinary one; they are often installed at the dealership.
So what's the real issue? The height of the spoiler from trunk deck? Is it suggested that a slipping rack will more readily escape the spoilers in question??
Two or 4 holes on the ends of a trunk lid and a 4 inch rise (less than the rack's horizontal plane of use) from the lid better not be an authenticatable weakness. Or a lot of motorcyclists are going to get killed by spoilers that detach when your macdonalds heavyweight gargantuan drink cup filled with ice hits it... no you didn't litter... you forgot it on top of the car after a long day of fun whitewater/xc/ whatever ...
I'm a fan of etrailer.com, but I don't trust this response to avoid trunk mounts a priori

I have had this rack for about a month, used it a few times on surface streets and freeways. I followed the instructions carefully for setting it up and mounting it on my car, and am sure to tighten everything once the bike(s) are on there. I also usually check everything after a mile or so, to make sure everything is secure, before continuing on my way. So far it's been great!

Will this rack fit both my 2006 4 Door Honda Civic as well as my 2009 4 door Toyota Corolla? And, if I am carrying a women's bike (with slanted bar) and a men's bike (with the straight bar), do I need anything extra for this carrier?

Good deal, fast delivery and works well on my Subaru sport. Little tricky loading the bike due to the fact it is a girls bike and doesn't have the straight bar.

Super fast delivery. The outer box left a lot to be desired but the inner box and product arrived unscathed. Super Joe is very easy to install on my minivan. My bike is very easy to attach to the bike rack. It holds firm. Easy transaction; quick delivery; great product.

I recently gave up my $20 bike rack to a friend who needed to drive cross country and thought I would upgrade.
I found this rack to be much more complicated and had difficulty maneuvering the angle of rack with the outside triggers.
While driving on the open road which was relatively windy I saw that the bike was bouncing. I pulled over and tightened the straps, but a few minutes later my bike was no longer visible. Luckily or unluckily, I had the front tire strapped to the frame and my bike was dragged along the road.
I am definitely going back to my old rack where the straps go through the buckle and are less likely to flip off with jostling.
Works great

I got this bike rack after my old one failed me and dropped my bike on the highway! It was a cheap one and I've been wanting to replace it but now I am forced to get a new bike too. Needless to say it would have cost me a lot less if I had gotten this bike rack earlier! This bike rack is very easy to use and is secure. I've been very happy with the quality of the construction. Safety first!
