Attach your surfboard to your car roof rack with the Yakima Strap Thang. This pair of straps uses tension to hold your board securely in place so it doesn't float away—on the highway at 65 mph. You can use the Strap Thang with board bags, and you'll need the Yakima Crossbar Pads (sold separately) to cushion your surfboard, so it doesn't rub or slide on your crossbars.

No they mount to the factory rack that comes with the car or attach to the rain gutters of the car. No drilling required.
