Remove your bike's front wheel, and load your bike on top of your vehicle by using the Yakima Steelhead Fork Mount. The Steelhead's skewer attaches to your Yakima roof rack's crossbars. This fork mount features Yakima SKS (Single Key System) compatibility, which means you can use the same key on the Steelhead as you do on your towers (locks not included). Because the Steelhead fits a range of tires, you can mount either your road bike or mountain bike.

No. This bike rack works with Yakima round bars only. This is because the front of the rack clamps around the bar and the clamp is designed for only the round bars. Sorry. If you are looking for a fork mounting bike rack you might try the Yakima Fork Lift. It mounts to round, square, and most factory racks. And it is sold right here on backcountry.com

This is an excellent fork mounting rack for the money. I have one of these as well as a Yakima Copperhead and this is far superior. Installation is extremely simple and no tools are needed. The locking skewer is a great design to deter theft and using the SKS lock only makes it safer. The rack is extremely durable, like most of Yakima's products. I have had mine for over two years and it is in great shape. You won't regret picking this one up.
