If you click on the "Car Configurator" at the top of the screen and go through the steps it will tell you if this item is compatible with a Subaru Outback.

I have a yakima car carrier box and the locking mech on the rear
I have a yakima car carrier box and the locking mech on the rear would not disingage. I removed the two pins that hold the lock on and tapped over the lock so it would not ingage again. Are there any replacement parts and if so where would I find them.

have you tired yakima's website?If you're talking about the locking core, yes you can replace those. Check on Backcountry.com for that part. If not you're best off going to yakima.com.Hope that helps.
