Yakima armed the Quick Back 2 Bike Rack with a labeled strap system, narrow arm design, fold-down arms, and an anti-sway system. Simply attach this rack to your trunk using the labeled straps, padded metal buckles, and tri-padded feet. Then load two bikes on and secure them in the SwitchBlade anti-sway cradle system. Use the knob to adjust the arm angles, and take advantage of the built-in bottle opener (on the edge of one arm) after your ride. *Includes glass hatch hooks for glass trunk or gate mounts.

Works pretty well

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

This rack is used to cart one road bike on a 2010 hardtop Mini Cooper. It actualy works well, and it decently easy enough to attach to the car. The anti-sway bar really does help the bike from moving, and it has never swung enough to come in contact with the care. The strap used to hold the front wheel steady (which loops around) is stiff and cumbersome, so I made my own.. Also, the metal latches that attach to the top of the trunk can leave permanent marks on your car if you don't put a towel under them or wrap them in something. Overall, a good rack, that has been used over the Grapevine in Ca, and on 5 hour journeys at 80mph.

Fits well on my Subaru Impreza Hatch

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I initially bought it because my top car rack cannot handle the 4.8 inch tires on my fat bike. Unfortunately, this rack can only hold one fat bike even though it is meant for two bikes. Great rack for the price and very stable carrying a fatty.

Quickback got's your back!

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I use the quickback to carry my road and mountain bike on my 07 Subaru Impreza and it fit well, the straps are easy to adjust and everything is very sturdy and well built. Its really simple to load and unload bikes, and the rack itself stores away easily once your done spinning wheels. I also used this rack to partially support a queen size pillowtop that I tied to my roof, not its intended use but definitely worked out, would highly recommend this rack

Best Trunk Rack I've Used

Before this rack my only experience was with the Saris Bones trunk racks. The Yakima Quick Back is much easier to install and includes many convenient additions. The labeled straps make installation simple, and if you're installing on a glass trunk or hatch Yakima has included interchangeable straps for you. There are clamps to hold the excess rope so that it isn't flying around as you drive. Also the anti-theft cable is a good idea. I doubt that it would stop anyone who is very determined to steal the rack, but it will definitely help keep honest people honest. It works well on my 2003 Camry and easily goes over the spoiler. The only problem that I've had with it is that the sides of my trunk are angled inward and if I don't tighten the side straps extremely tight they slide downward and become loose. Because of all of the other positives of the rack I overlook this and use it as an excuse to get the straps extra tight. But it is something you should consider before buying it for yourself.

      Nice Rack

I pretty happy with this product. While it is not cheap, it is well built and sits very solidly on my trunk. I tried a different brand before this one and the Yakima is far superior. My only complaint is that they advertise that they have a bottle opener on the arms. Well it is flimsy for a bottle opener (made of plastic). I used it to open a Sam Adams the first day I got it and it dug into the plastic pretty deeply. I don't think it would last very long. But I bought it to haul my bike not to open beer bottles. For the former it is great.

        Will it fit a 2011 Honda Civic 4d ?

Does this rack work with Audi a5 convertible?

        Thank you.

I have a 2014 Nissan Rogue. Will this rack fit? If not, which one will fit? Thank you.

        Pat

        Hey Robert,

I just checked on Yakima's site, and unfortunately it looks like this will not work with a newer model Nissan Rogue. Do you have a trailer hitch? Factory rails on the roof?

If you are set on this style, here are a few options from Thule that would work:

There are a few more, but those would be the lowest cost.

Will this rack work on the Mercedes R350? If not, any suggestions?

Does this luggage rack keep the bikes from...

Does this luggage rack keep the bikes from moving around and hitting each other when in transit?

It does! It comes with anti-sway mounting hardware that not only make it easier to secure the bikes, but keeps them in a fairly stable condition so they don't hit each other. Other manufacturers don't include this with their strap bike mounts which is a huge plus for Yakima.

The other great thing with this bike rack is how easy it is to mount to a car. In fact, it is the easiest on the market while inflicting the least amount of damage. Without even reading the directions, you'll have it on your car in a couple of minutes! It also comes with a security strap that has metal cable at it's core that locks the bikes and the bike rack to the car if you leave it for whatever reason. You're going to love the Quick Back 2!
