It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing.
The post-ride tailgate, for some of us, is one of those simple things that can make or break the perfect day. A good rack, we believe, doesn’t limit the snack spread. With Yakima’s FullSwing 4 Bike Rack, you’ll have no problem relaxing, because this rack has a full-range swinging arm that offers you quick and easy access to the car, even if the rack is loaded with the family’s bikes. The FullSwing’s hassle-free assembly uses a single bolt (with the necessary wrench included), and AutoPin and SpeedKnob lock the rack in place without requiring any tools. The rack features padded arms with replaceable ZipStrips and anti-sway cradles to ensure that your bikes don’t bang into each other. The Same Key Lock System provides an added safety element, securing your bikes to the rack and the rack to vehicle. Finally, the FullSwing comes equipped with a bottle opener, so you won’t be stuck drooling at those ice-cold refreshments.

- Q & A
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I took this product to Peru, went to Pachacamac, Casta, and other places. Rack is firm, and my two mountain bikes have suffered no scratch on the way and feel very secured while driving.
For road bikes, they fit beautifully into the padded arms. However, if you are a mountain biker like me, you may encounter some issues with the ZipStrips if your frame is too wide. I have an Orbea Occam AM, and the zipstrip barely makes it into the last lever grip. I looked into Yakima website and they don´t have a larger size of zipstrips. The size is standard.
The full swing is great, and one of the main reasons why I bought this product. You can always go back and forth into the back of your car, even with all four bikes loaded into the rack, even if one of the tires goes flat. No reason to unload all bikes. The full swing will let you take that spare tire out of the back of your car with no sweat.
I am now kind of lazy to take the rack out of my car, so I am looking for a protector while driving and not having any bikes on it.
will the yakima full swing fit a 2014 Acura RDX with a dealer installed trailer hitch
I believe the OEM hitch for the RDX is an 1.25" opening. This bike rack requires a 2" hitch.
