The XCEL Hawaii Women's Offset 4/3 Wetsuit is a must-have if you intend on surfing in the fall, winter, and spring. Designed specifically for women, this durable, stretchy, and insulating suit works best in water temperatures between 54 and 59 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Contoured to fit a woman's body for performance and comfort
  • Offset (OS) zip system (short zipper offset from the back center neck) reduces pressure along your spine and neck, which is especially prevalent when you paddle
  • OS zip system also has a water barrier internal dam (located between the zipper and your back) that adds warmth and reduces water flow into the suit
  • ThermoCarbon (heat-retaining lining made of carbon infused and recycled fibers) on core and lower body keeps you warm and the chill away
  • Texture Skin external chest rubber provides resistance against the wind and helps keep you comfortable when you sit up on your board
  • UltraStretch collar, sleeves, underarms, and lower legs ensure unrestricted mobility when you paddle, duck dive, and surf
  • Pressure-bonded, glued, blindstitched, and taped seams in the core, lower body, and legs, plus Fusion seamed internal sleeves, lock out water, provide durability, and stretch with you as you surf
  • Durable, four-way stretch DuraFlex knee panels are contoured to fit your knees' natural flex

Weird stitch

I am a little disappointed with this wetsuit because it really was a great price for a 4-3. This was also given to me as a gift to me so I really wanted it to be a keeper. This is the first time Ive ever had a suit with the internal dam, which I figured would keep me alot more warm. I think it does warm up once water enters the suit, but there is no added warmth than my old 3-2 suit. Im not sure if its the off-set zipper or what, but ALOT of water rushes into the suit. The zipper feels like it does not zip all the way up, so you get a chilling cold feeling everytime a wave hits you. The velcro neck and zipper seems to curve down lower (than the front of the suit) for increased exposure, not so much protection. Also the internal dam, gets tangled up easy and makes it harder to self-zip. I have to reach back to straighten out the dam first, then I can properly zip it up. There is also a stitch/seam in the back panel under the arm that rubs a bunch under your back. I thought maybe this would adjust with some wear and tear, but it is getting worse. I think this is a sewing defect in my suit, but not sure. Also, I have only used this suit about 6-8 times and already the inside fabric is stretching and separating. There is a lot of reinforcement, however, in all of the WRONG places! The fabric at the knee/calf is reinforced and warm. Everywhere else, around the chest, abdomen, the fabric is more thin and friable.
