X-Socks designed the Men's Ski Touring Silver Sinofit Sock for skiers who spend the entire day in the backcountry. The Sinofit system, featuring anti-microbial Silver NODOR fibers, provides direct contact between silver ions and your skin to retard the growth of unwanted bacteria without destroying the desirable natural bacterial environment of healthy skin. Strategically placed shin, ankle, and calf protectors eliminate the dreaded boot bang without compromising power transmission. Heel, toe, ankle, and Achilles protectors all buffer your foot from the specific forces generated during a long day of ski touring. Iso Blocker instep padding insulates and ventilates the forefront of your foot while eliminating pressure points. AirConditioning Channels, in conjunction with the Traverse AirFlow Channel system, utilize your movement to keep your foot cooled and bathed in fresh air to prevent blisters and reduce the onset of swelling and fatigue. As with all X-Socks, the Ski Touring Silver sock features an X-Cross bandage that supports and protects the crucial muscles, tendons, and ligaments around your ankle.

On a five day backcountry tour out of Purcell Lodge, British Columbia, I wore my x-socks everyday but 1. "Very" warm, great fit, I recommend these socks with one warning: test ski these socks on lift access terrain before you head into the boondocks! The women's x-sock rubbed my wifes feet raw. As for the mens Ski Touring Silver Sinofit Sock, I've never had a more comfortable sock on my feet! A little pricey.

While a little expensive, this is the best touring sock I've seen or used! I used them recently on a 6 day tour and they were great. Not a blister to be found. My advice, however, is that you go a little smaller than you think on the size. They run big and long and too much material in the boot is no good.
