X-Socks designed the Men's Trekking Expedition Long Sock with the exceptional ankle support, padding, and breathability necessary to withstand the heavy impacts induced by long, rugged treks in any climate. AirConditioning Channels, in conjunction with the Traverse AirFlow Channel system, work to keep your feet optimally cooled and bathed in fresh air to prevent blisters and reduce the onset of swelling and fatigue. Instep, heel, toe, and Achilles protectors all buffer your feet from the specific forces generated by trekking over rough uneven terrain. As with all X-Socks, the Trekking Expedition sock features an X-Cross bandage that supports the crucial muscles, tendons, and ligaments around your ankle.

Bottom Line: This excellent over-the-calf trekking sock offers exceptional, lasting support and outstanding breathability.

X socks-too thin

By:
April 10, 2009

really well made and breathable, but really REALLY thin---i bought these to use in hiking hunting boots in which i use a liner and heavy socks(smartwool heavy hikers)---these are too thin to be worn alone for this application---MY FAULT,not the product performing badly, just wanted anyone looking at these socks to realize how thin they are--that said, still a 5 star product, just not for the use i had in mind

We have a rather unique situation. My husband was in a motorcycle

We have a rather unique situation. My husband was in a motorcycle accident and seriously injured his legs. He suffered nerve damage which makes his foot very sensitive so the sock must be smooth and soft, not too thick. He also has to wear a foot brace so the sock must be long (up to knee) to keep from getting blisters and sores under the brace area. Cost is not an issue. Comfort and workability are. Do you have any ideas for me?

These stocks are great. But expensive. That said I will buy these socks again.
The only way I will not do this if the socks are out of stock.
