Description

Winning doesn't have to hurt.

WTB designed the Vigo Carbon Team saddle for riders who want lightweight performance but are tired of the sore butt that often accompanies a narrow saddle. The firm shell, combined with a well-padded nose and tail, gives the rider support for efficient pedaling and enough cushion to reduce numbness and pain.

Great saddle for AM/DH

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've compared this saddle vs. the WTB Volt Team and Rocket V Team. The Volt was the lightest (close to 220g), and very easy to manoeuvre around due to the small size. However I found it wasn't quite as comfortable, especially when wearing DH-style shorts (eg: Troy Lee Moto shorts). The Rocket V wasn't bad, but the material they use doesn't grip well and I found myself sliding around the saddle.

The Vigo was the best of all worlds - slightly heavier @ 305g, and a little longer, but not so big that you can't throw your weight around when navigating sketchy downhill trails and jumps. It's also super comfortable and provides a lot of support, and I don't wear a chamois. I found myself getting lazy and sitting comfortably on the saddle on downhill runs @ Snow Summit bike park (Big Bear Lake, CA).
