Description

Go the distance in this expedition kayak.

Slip the Wilderness Systems Tsunami 165 Kayak with Rudder into the cool waters of the Pacific for an intensely intimate whale watching experience or a week-long exploration in and among the San Juans. Lightweight and rigid polyethylene gives the Tsunami the stamina withstand years of paddling expeditions. A moderately rockered bow keeps this boat buoyant even when the chop gets a bit frisky. Smooth hull lines and a defined chine help this boat move quickly and efficiently across long, open stretches of water, and the deep hull affords larger paddlers additional room in the cockpit.

The Phase 3 AirPro XP gives your tush a cushy ride. Both the SlideLock footbraces and padded thigh braces can be tweaked to give you a custom fit. The rudder comes up when you need to maximize maneuverability, but then drops back down to keep you going straight ahead when the wind picks up. Three covered hatches provide ample storage space for dry bags containing camping gear, clothes, and food. On-deck rigging keeps your fishing rod and rain coat within arm's reach. In this rudder-happy rock-solid boat, you have the ability to leave dry land behind for weeks at a time.
