Description

One of the best all-around carabiners.

The Wild Country Wild Wire Carabiner exceeds your expectations whether you're a sport climber, a trad climber, an alpine climber, or a mix of them all. This hot-forged carabiner boasts a surprising amount of strength for how little it weighs, and the wire gate, hooded nose, and large gate opening assist with clipping and cleaning no matter what you're climbing.

Just picked up 5 of the silver Wild Wires on sale last week and got them in the mail last week. Two of the five had very squeaky gates and the snapping action on the closure feels a little rough(The other three are silky smooth and snappy). Haven't experienced this with any other wiregates I have purchased, even my 10 year old BD Oval has a better gate action. Anyone else have a like experience like this? Should I return these, or just add a tad of Finish Line teflon lube and hope for the best?

I would try the Teflon Lube. That stuff cures a lot of problems when it comes to hardware. If it still doesnt seem right after some Teflon reply to my email and well get you two new ones.
