Your partner just pitched off the climb for a 30-footer, but you have the Wild Country VC Pro Belay Device to easily catch his screamer. Its aggressive V-shaped grooves lock down tight when you need some extra help to stop big falls or make long rappels with a heavy pack. Turn the VC Pro around to the smooth side when you're making rapping a slabby pitch and need less friction. *Assorted colors.

Bottom Line: Every catch is an easy catch when you're belaying with the Wild Country VC Pro.

Brake power is large though it is not smooth.

I felt that the rope was not able to be sent off smoothly though I was using the rope of 10.5mm. I think that ATC-XP of BD can smoothly send off the rope.

Not bad but far from good

I got this belay when starting up thought it would be good for a getting to grips with belaying. I found it pretty tight when using 11mm ropes in the centre and would recommend it only for smaller diameter rope users. Great breaking power if you need it though.
