Description

If you get on Trench Warfare, can you look for my shoe? Thanks.

Wild Country Tech Friends have been the backbone of trad climbers' racks since Indian Creek stopped being a pretty place and became a crack climbing mecca. The latest evolution of Friends, in these two obscenely big sizes, keeps your carcass off the ground when you're pinging from the widest O-dub out there.
  • These two large size options cover the most hateful off-widths out there
  • Ultra-wide heads increase stability in large sizes
  • Cam stops add security to tipped-out placements
  • Dyneema slings reduce weight and bulk without compromising strength
  • CNC-machined cam lobes cut out every bit of non-essential material to reduce weight

Wild Country #6 is the best large cam around. This is because it is the widest, that is, the distance between the two outer cam lobes is greater than any other cam with equivalent range. This gives it superior stability and makes tipped out placements a little less scary. Furthermore, this is the lightest #6 sized cam. No reason to get any other cam in this size.

The #5 is also better than the BD #5 but the difference between the two is not as significant as the difference between the 6's.

The classic big cam is back, and unchanged! A cam (or two) of this size is a must on every trad climbers rack.
