The Western Mountaineering Puma Super DL: -20 Degree sleeping bag will see you comfortably through the most brutally cold nights. A ski tour across the Anaconda Pintler Wilderness is no easy affair. It is cold and remote and trying to cross the Continental Divide may be impossible. But this Big Sky state will offer you magnificent views of the northern lights, as long as you're willing to crawl from the warmth of your Puma Super DL. This winter bag sports 8.5in of massive loft to keep you thermally content all night long to 20 below. The two Interlocking draft tubes are thickly filled with down and are constructed entirely of DryLoft fabric to ensure weatherproofness. A 3-dimensional down filled collar surrounds your neck, and it too is made with all DryLoft fabric to protect the insulation from your frosty breath throughout the night. The hood is large enough to fill around your face and provide a ruff for your forehead. Its DryLoft shell provides all the weather protection you'll need in a snow cave or single wall tent and the foot section is sewn with 2.4oz taffeta for added protection when gear is stored there. -Vendor

Bottom Line: If you can get there, the Puma Super DL can handle the weather.

Good Bag

Have not had the chance to use it below 0, but so far it has worked very well. The coldest temps have been in the single digits and I was able to leave the draft tube slightly open to prevent getting too warm. Fits me well and with the polar guard fabric I have not carried bivy sack. Definitely pricey, but it is a well designed and built, and an American made product.

TOASTY!

Wow! I can't believe the warmth of this bag! It's is so amazing that something so warm can be so light. These guys at Western do it right. I own a few of their bags, and there is no other sleeping bag company that I would rely on when I am out in Mother Nature. The Puma is absolutely the bomb when it comes to sub-zero bags. You will LOVE it!
